by the same token, though, we have the problem of the navy patrol in minor, that must probably be removed. unless we begin to park navy patrol from iota to minor... which would be really strange...

I guess, but it'll be one hell of a challenge getting a fresh starflier from NY to Minor through Iota, haha!

But hey, it's possible.
Although I may have some doubts about Iota... I mean, isn't it a Nomad home system or something?

So to end this

it is a nomad home system, but nomad patrols are the same as in Kappa, LSF went there without problems with 4 fighters once, patrols aren't everywhere in this system

Traffic through Nomad space increased 200%. Orillion won't be pleased...

It's THE Nomad home system. The Nomad patrols are almost all battleships, but nonetheless...

However, one cannot simply tankcat into Mordor, and come next version one cannot simply waltz through Iota. Especially if the Harbinger and/or a bomber or on, then its overkill. Even if you have a pair of Legates. Treewyrm has been working on the system, with really awesome results.

If the Order want to get to Liberty, they'll have to take the long way around like they did in SP, or they'll have to risk going through Iota. If the jumphole on Iota's side is close enough to the major installation, that will entail heavy casualties. It will add something to the Order if they need to stealth around avoiding detection to get to Liberty, especially if too many people leave their chars logged off in Alaska and need to 'rescue' themselves but don't think they can make it through Iota.

That could be an event in itself- Order battlegroup tries to cut through Iota and gets badly mauled in the process. When the arrive in Alaska, after making basic repairs, they no longer have the forces to mount an assault on Liberty, nor survive a return trip to Iota. They have to make a run for it, with a variety of people after their heads.

But from another standpoint...

Nomads, especially keepers will have a direct route to Alasks, and the heart of Liberty itself... not a little too... risky?

It'll give the lazy Alaskan Guard some more work. They freaking deserve it after testing on those poor little Nomad things.

Don't toy with something that can murder you and your family, let The Order handle it.

hehe, so the Order, created to ment to fight Nomads has to go through a series of jump holes to get to them while the Nomads themselves have a direct path to Liberty.

See the Irony there? lol.

New crazy idea, one side of Alaska or some system is Liberty guard or something, while the other side is Order guard or something...
and put some Nomads jump hole in the middle X_X, heh'.

or maybe not...

we are Workoholic!!! and Nomads. can already go in Liberty without much harm. one less sytem or one more won't change a lot for them.

nah but we could add a small outpost somewhere in Alaska to balance this problem, An hidden base using the Willard station/mull base model

what ya think?

EDIT: ya crazy idea make me think about the Tau-31 constant battlefield... but could be nice
