Well, bringing the Solaris up to 5.00 would help. Actually, that would work pretty well, and we wouldn't have to even nerf its damage much. Say, 460 damage per shot?

I agree with what people had said initially in this thread -
Nomads (only organic weapons),
Das Wilde - infected,
Rheinland Military - Infected fighters only (must have RP and must act accordingly, not just be
all nice and dandy with rest of RM)
Order - customisation for fighting the deadliest of enemies
Kusari Naval Forces - organic - same as RM
LSF/Navy - Given to specific agents/officers (say 2 of 10) for testing only,
possible use in Secret/house or border systems

No one else should be able to use this or any other modified gun. There is no such thing as a universal weapon
mount - though in this bugged game from M$ it exists, there is no place for it in the scope of Discovery RP.

The day Rheinland makes a weapon mount on their ships compatible to mount any Liberty weapons, they
can all kiss and make up and we'd be in a Happy Universe... Vice versa for Bretonia & Kusari...
and don't forget the French House...
All houses are distinct, with specific ships, weapons, shields etc.....
There is no such thing as a Generic Military Equipment.

Personally, Nomad weapons only for Keepers and Das Wilde factions. The whole 'modified' RP to me is getting old. "Oh I won't get infected, I modified it! lolzors!"

Thats like saying you modified a biological warhead to kill all but yourself. Not exactly, logical is it. (Can't think of a good analogy).

Nomad weapons corrupt people, Rheinland has been there and so has Liberty on a large scale.

I boycott thy purpleness! Namely Nomad Weapons!

Uh, Fletcher? The Nomad guns in question are neither sold on Nomad bases nor used by Keepers or Wilde. These are the NPC drops, not the invisible ones.

The "modified" bit is on the infocard, they didn't come up with it as an excuse...

Just be suspicious. Maybe if they are treated universally hostile (Keepers kill you for killing Nomad NPCs, militaries kill you for thinking you are infested) that will stop the full loadout spam...

Although I prefer when they are Nomad guns as opposed to codenames, I'd really be fine with codes leaving the mod...

I think Roadrunners spray and pray quote is a leftover from vanilla Freelancer PvPing.
In vanilla Nomad Blasters and Cannons use zero energy so pvpers often use them because they dont have to manage energy reserves in combat. They can use a continuous fire technique.
If I remember correctly nomads on Disco have been modified to use energy and their damage has been altered too so I dont think that is the case here.
Though I dont know that for sure since I dont use Nomads (They dont fit my RP):laugh:

I think that any human can use nomad cannon\blaster because Wilds use that. As you know Wilds are flying human ships, so that's it.

If you are a Nomad researcher or Order pilot, no problem, [Core]-members should be allowed as well, Zoners are fine too I think, and Corsairs exchange technology with the Order regularly, so a few of them may have nomad weapons as well, but all other players shouldn't really use them without having a REALLY good RP reason for it.

As for humans picking up Wild weapons: I think a good RP reason to restrict their usage would be just saying that to mount those weapons on standard weapon ports the ship would need to be modified heavily; most people shouldn't be able to do those modifications themselves, no lawful engineer would do it and most unlawful engineers wouldn't do it either, fearing Nomad infection etc.
