Dr. Mojo excused himself and walked up to the stage, smiling at Pope Carlisle as he showed the doctor boths thumbs up, letting him know everything was good to go. He approached to the microphone and tested it. A loud screech was heard, which caught the attention of everybody.

Sorry gentlefolk! He smiled. Well, let me welcome you all to the First Baffin Zoner Zummit. First of all I want to thank you for attending. It has been long since the last time Zoners met up all together at once.

He made a pause and his smile slowly faded. I think I don't need to tell the tale about the Times of Aurelia Silvan, and the Council of Zoners. A trained eye would have noticed a slight nod to TAZ leader, Doc Holliday.

The Wheel of Chao keeps on spinning! And it never forgets. The trail left by it sooner or later becomes the very near future about to unveil. He looked around. We are sons and daughters of our past, and we must carry the burden of our family.

I believe there are many things we could discuss in this meeting, so I would like someone to step forward and tell us what troubles are around the corner. I myself have my own beans to spill on this table, but I'd like my guests take the first steps. He searched for his fellow Confederation members, trying to find Thomas. Anybody?.

The giant warrior from far away decided to step up. Why not? No one else was. A lot was on his mind so he decided to get the ball rolling. With his seven foot frame, he approached the stage, stood behind the podium and began to speak.

"I would like to thank Dr. Mojo and the rest of my friends of the Temporary Autonomous Zoners for hosting this summit. I do hope that much comes of it," he began. "While I do know those of the OSI, most of you are new faces to me. For those who do not know me, I am Commander Matok, son of Grosche. I am the administrator of Freeport 6 and have been for some time."

He scanned the crowd as he spoke. "Freeport 6 is a low budget operation. While the Gallic Royal threat is but a few jumpgates away, we have had no real problems besides that occasion attack by their patrols. Passing traders seeking a meal or a place to rest during a long voyage is our clientele. While most come without incident, I do see the burns and damage of weapons."

He motioned to the representative of OSI, "I am in negotiations for supplies and it is going well as I do not have our own trade ship."

He then continued, "I assumed the roll as administrator of Freeport 6 after the dismantling of the Zoner Defense Force. I have made the Taus my home and will do so as long as I am allowed. My security forces are small in number but with my chief of security, Blaine Chara, we together work to look after Zoner interests and safety in the Tau region, running patrols up to Freeport 10."
"We sit on an established neutral zone between the Gallic Royals and the Kusari Empire. While Kusari has always been respectful to us, it is the Royals that I am concerned with. While we keep our distance from them, they still incure with us from time to time. To this point, no large scale ships or fleets have encroached."

He took a sip from a glass of water. "It has been said that I should join the Confederation of Freeports. My concern on that has been and will always be that we will lose our identity, that a single set of politics will rule us all."
He paused a moment to scan the crowd before making a blunt statement, "I do not want to see another failure come from unification. I know a few here remember the end of the Zoner Alliance and the Council of Zoners."

He returned to his normal tone, "I will listen to others here. I will weigh in if asked or if I feel it is needed. I thank you for listening."

With that, he stepped down. Refilling his drink, he found a place to stand and listen to the next speaker.

Voncloud winced at the screech of the mic, his ears extra sensitive to that sort of noise, breathing a sigh of relief when it stopped. He continued to sip his Wine as Martok stood and said his peace, giving a nod back when he was pointed out, but as he stood down he finished the glass and stepped up himself to the podium and cleared his throat.

Good Evening, for those of you who do not know me, i am Jerard Voncloud CEO of Omicron Supply industries, and as I'm sure you have noticed..not exactly human, however of all the denizens of Sirius, its only the Zoners who have truly accepted that, to which I am thankful.
But i digress, i have 2 matters that i wish to address whilst we are here, the first being my view on OSI within the Confederacy and all Freeports. I feel that OSI has as strayed away from its original purpose, its founder Samuel Nichols intended OSI to be a constant and secure supplier of all Freeports and Zoner installations.
*he pauses* It is apparent to me that over the years, it has neglected that for which I am Sorry.
AS CEO I intend to refocus OSI back into what it was originally created to be, a lifeline for all Zoner installations far and wide, so i call upon all administrators here today, to contact us with any and all supply needs you have including regular items like food and water, let us re-establish the supply lines together not only to give OSI back its purpose, but to strengthen the Zoner community as a whole.

*He takes a moment for those listening to take on board his first matter*

My second matter, which I feel some of you here today, may also have feelings on..is the free use of Zoner technology, namely our capitol ships. It seems more and more nowadays I see Zoner capitol ships being used for purposes we may not have intended. I don't think I need to remind everyone of the 2 renegade outcast captains. So I call, that as the major factions of the Zoner populous, that we seriously consider finding ways to restrict the acquisition of our capitol ships before more people start to abuse our generous nature. It is no secret that our ships are in many ways superior to even some of the military houses', and it is to me, our responsibly to make sure that they do not become tools for others to exploit.

The fox bows his head respectfully as he finishes and walks down for the next speaker

Quiron stood up and raised his hand. “May I have the word?” He quickly put down his glass, decended the stairs and turned to the crowd. “First of all, let me introduce myself.“ he cleared his throat. “I’m Quiron Lacroix, representative of the Phoenix Zoners. I would like to thank the TAZ for organizing such an assembly.” he made a polite bow to the direction of their hosts.

“The reason I asked the word was the subject Mr. Voncloud mentioned about the Zoner technology. I would like to inform the gathering, that our scientists in Livadia shipyard are started a project about a new built-in ship system. This software would be able to reduce the efficiency of the vessel in case if it wasn't used with the unique Zoner identification code. However, this project is still in the early stages and the prior calculations say it will be expensive. As this project is considered open by my group, we gladly welcome any of the hereby present if you would like to participate in it.” he made a little pause. “I think that would be all, thank you for your time.”

The ears of a small old man in the amphitheatre pricked up to listen. He did not stand up, he just sat there thinking.

"So, the first and foremost issue is the Gallic Navy, their incursion into Sirius and the impact of it on Zoners. The second issue is following the failings of the CoZ and all it's derivatives, as well as the formation of this Confederation." Parkes sipped a little wine from his glass, whilst thinking.

"The non issue is the trade contracts mentioned by Commander Matok and the walking dog. And of course the issue about Zoner technology and who we deal it out to, which has plagued us since we made the technology." More of the Gallic wine was slowly sipped.

"They sure do talk a lot." Parkes thought, as waited for the next speaker.

Anything I say is not intended as offensive, and to try and deliberately misinterpret it as such would be an attempt at trolling via misrepresentation.

It's not a conspiracy, it's localised bias. They're not intelligent enough to form a conspiracy.

Ldr.Thomas Henrikson notis that Dr.Mojo looks for him after his opening speach,
he stands up and wave him over whit a warm smile saying
*sit down my good friend its good to see you,
and nice work you have done here you most tell me more about this place,
when the time comes for a break*
he sits back down and direct his attention to what the good Commander Matok is about to say in his speach, and gives a respectful applause to him after he finished his speach and walks down from the stage again.
Thomas sits back and wait for the next speaker to continue.

Next speaker to enter the stage, is the good Dir.Jerard Voncloud, Thomas sits back and listen to what the Director have to say and nods to his words of returning OSI, to what it once whas aswell as getting more control of all that Zoner Tec stealing, and abuse.
When Dir.Voncloud finished his speach Thomas gives him a applause for his wise words, and stands up and wave him over to come and join Dr.Mojo and him ad there spot.
Next speaker is up Quiron Lacroix, representative of the Phoenix Zoners, Thomas sits back again to listen to wat the good man has to say, and nods with approvel when he hears of there program with Zoner Tec thinking.
*Maybe we could aid them in there research and with some fundings aswell*
Thomas sits back and waits for the next one to enter the stage.

Achille was at the far side of the bar; carefully liberating the Nori; physically inert among the seething crowd. Yet just because he wasn’t interacting with anyone didn’t necessarily mean he wasn’t occupied. In his inner ear, a bug-like two-way transponder was relaying every iota of Autoine’s dialogue with James to his central nervous system. Taking my job as usual Achille smiled, eyes looking up to the podium as some incredibly disinteresting types took the stage in quick succession of miscellaneous pleasantries which meant little to him.
Then suddenly the wall of speech lulled.

Autoine’s voice shot around the inside of his head, nearly causing him to leap clean of his seat; "Achille, you awake or just hiding... I had to deal with that SRD fellow myself”.

Achille’s mouth curved slightly; “You appeared to have handled him quite immaculately”.

“True, but what do I employ you for?”

Achille’s grin widened: “It is true I must admit, I often ask myself the same question. Still rather you than me though, This James fellow seemed as slippery as a Junyo Tuna”. Achille smiled, chewing devotedly on a liberal chunk of the aforementioned substance. “Mind you...” Achille continued, sipping on that delightful Burgundy Autoine had so helpfully plied James with; “...When he shook hands with you he looked so eager he might have ripped your limbs off, you watch out with that one”.

The repartee was immediate; “Not funny. Besides, he’s research. Your the one whose going to deal with him in the end”.

“Yes, preferably by dropping his bullet-ridden corpse into a sewer... No, joking, he appears to be a reasonable type. Maybe a bit to eager for the SRD to do well but that just gives us a common ground. It’ll be... enlightening to work with him on some of our pet projects”. Gestured Achille with his fork. “Come to think of it, where actually is he now?”

“In the audience, with everyone else you incorrigible barstard. Have you even notified those applicants that the Commonwealth accepts them for the research department yet?”

“I will. Just not right now. Now, I’m going to drink myself into the courage to stagger onto that podium and give an astoundingly erudite performance worthy of the most talented of thespians”.

This time Autoine grinned; “Really? About what?”

“Oh something incredibly disinteresting and work-related. Probably something which goes against all the Gallic war-talk which is flooding around this room... Oh and about establishing who we are so that everyone in this room, including that odd looking man with the facial ridges and that rather awesome looking type in the wolf suit doesn’t shoot us for a GRN”.

“Apologies friend, but this is my scene. It’s also my speech. So you just continue emptying the snack bar uselessly”.

Achille stared around wildly until he was fully satisfied that Autoine wasn’t glowering at him before replying;

“Well not if I get up to the podium first you won’t”.

“I have a sidearm”.

“You make an excellent point but security would have you pinned to the floor before you could draw”.

“Look if you’re really hankering to make yourself useful strike up a dialogue with the OSI leader. Don’t you find it curious how a Gaul becomes the head of the Omicron system’s only reliable supply firm?”

“If I must”... Achille deactivated his communicator, and, forever the martyr, dragged himself towards the seats.

After Achille closed the communication, Robert took a seat on one of the rows closer to the podium, watching who would volunteer next to step on it while falling into contemplation.

He doesn't even know why he accepted Achille's idea of wearing a transponder. He appreciated Achille's ambitious and diligent nature, as it saved him from useless and tiring work he would had prefered not to do, but sometimes he felt his ideas take him too far away.

That being said, he turned off the transponder and he put it in one of his pockets.

Something was holding him back to walking on that podium though, he didn't really want to let everyone know about his business just yet, and moreover, he wanted to see what are the other zoners thinking of before making his move.

" Would be more convenient to wait for them to talk first and know what is it they want and think. That would allow me to assess the situation better. My hopes rely on Achille not playing the diligent type again " He thought

A small laugh was heard coming from him afterwards.

" A sidearm... Oui ... " he muttered

His talk with Achille now seemed a comic for him. Especially when he thinks of the part when he told him he has a sidearm when he actually does not. Getting on each other's nerves will never grow old.

He then made his way for the buffet to grab another glass of wine. All this while carefully having his eyes on the podium, checking who would come up next.

Sarah John-Kane raised her hand, not even looking at the surroundings. The gallic wine was good. The seat was good. But the time to say her thoughts was nigh.

Walking slowly, knowingly that many an eye was upon her, she climbed the stairwell to the stage and nodded at the persons present in greeting.

"Good day, my friends. I am Sarah John-Kane. Administrator of Freeport One. As you all know, a good stop in the Omega-3 system if you are tired of trading between the Bretonian and Rheinlander House. Also a beacon of safety if you find yourself in the Omegas.. But most importantly, a bloodied station that saw the ravages of war more than it was needed."

She breathed in, recollecting the Omega-3 War, the ever imbalance of forces present in Omega-3, and how her Freeport was always the pivotal point of every major fight in that system. And.. Genine's San Savage death in the last Wilde/Corsair major confrontation.

"If you do not know, i succeeded Ms. San Savage leadership of Freeport One, in a nightmarish event. Wilde sought to destroy the Freeport and probably pin the blame at the Rheinland Government, with the obvious outcome of war being the only answer."

Her voice became rasp. And her face was serious.

"War. Death. Pain.
It has knocked on my doorstep too often. But every time our allies came to help. Fast, without questions or asking nothing in return. That is the value of having someone standing at your side, no matter the cost."

She looked at the attendance and identified Commander Matok with a nod.

"Know, that if you require, Commander, the Confederation of Freeports welcomes you, and will aid you without questions and unwavering support. Every Freeport in it is independent, making their own laws in their own space. And to face this threat that is breathing down on Baffin and the Taus.."

Now her eyes were not of a peaceful zoner, but of a warrior.

"We will need to stand together, and hold our ground. As Freeport One always did. And if Eris give me strength, it will always under my administration... And i ask that same strength for all of you in the coming days."

After this, she visibly relaxed and looked at Voncloud.

"Of course that there are other issues to deal with. The usage of zoner technology for.. unsavory ends is a nightmare in the making. I agree with Chairman Voncloud. It is our responsability to further avoid such situations. And for that, you have my backing, Chairman."

She nodded at the CEO of OSI, and then bowed her head to the crowd in front of her.

"Thank you for your time in listening to me."

With a quick step, she walked down the stage and sat near Commander Matok, and smiled.
