It's not exactly a signature or avatar, but I made this little animated .gif demonstrating the Order Seth Light Fighter folding its wings for storage aboard non-carrier capital ships:

One problem would be of course, the fact that the guns on the weapon points on the wings would probably be clipped off...
Guns would probably have to be dismounted before storing the ship like that, it's not meant to be a quick deployment thing, just a way that smaller ships (like, hopefully, my fearless destroyer in 4.86) can store a fighter or two for scouting or personal transport.
