The applicants has awaited inside the SCRA Recruitment Centre. Some of them had to wait for several days, because for some reason, nobody has ever come to test them but in same time, the guards wouldn't allow them to leave. Secretary worker, however, brought them food and water often and the chairs were comfortable enough for a nap. Then, suddenly, doors has opened and the one person stepped through them.
Dmitry Dubovik walked towards his office while browsing some files in his hands. Almost reaching the door, he has shouted "Applicants Mark Zuric and Eustace Lecuona, follow me" and entered the room. The named applicants followed, leaving others to wait for their turn.
Greetings, comrade applicants. My apologies for the delay, I had to attend to some important duties. You can call me Comrade Commissar. Take a seat and we will start.
As the recruits found themselves comfortable in their chairs they have heard some strange sound like it would be a land mine became active.
Good. Now you are stuck on those chairs. If you'll try to stand up without my approval, your little hole on your backside will become slightly bigger. And burning. Plus, the explosion will be going directly upwards towards your guts. So don't have any funny ideas such as standing up to kill me with yourselves.
Now, if you still have some nerves to continue. Why do you think the Sirius Coalition Revolutionary Army is in needs of you? Or rather, why do you need us?
The government's depravity is getting larger by the day and I have seen first hand what their evil is capable of. I have a reason to fight Herr Dubovik. For my family's safety and for the people on Munich who are suffering. As I see it the revolution needs capable pilots in order to keep up with it's foes, for they do not rest and they are relentless. Through my time spent trying to force change... I have come to the conclusion that I can not do it alone. For I am but a single man without any real power to change anything. But I am hoping that with me joining the Revolution.. I can finally grasp the power that is needed to make a difference in Rheinland and in the end.. Sirus!
I dont remember I have told you my name, applicant. Sure, you might have heard of me, because I am not the last person in the Coalition. Besides, I have said to call me "Comrade Commissar". In this office, nobody have names.
Dmitry looked at the Zuric and havent seen any kind of reaction from his side. Dmitry turned his head back to Eustace.
But, you were part of the Red Hessian movement, aren't you? Those are also working to change the Rheinland, and unlike the Coalition they focus on this specific House. I wonder why half of the ex-Hessians that comes to the Coalition is saying the same thing "I want more changes". This is either speaks about your wishes being too high, or Red Hessians movement fading as Revolutionaires. Interesting...
Anyway, back to your life story. What in your opinion has happened in Munich? Why the Rheinland is the one to be blamed? And more importantly, why the Sirius Coalition should be the one to "clean up" after Rheinland?
The Rheinland government neglected their people and turned into an organisation driven by greed. Which to a certain extent, I can understand... Everybody knows what's happened to Rheinland's economy but although the situation is dire they are still to blame for the suffering on planet Munich. They were the ones who were responsible for the research of Planet Munich. Despite not knowing all the facts about the planet they started to pump people into it. All I know is the planet turned into a factory, people are prohibited from leave and the government doesn't want to help with the food shortage.
Sorry Comrade Commissar for calling you by your name, it won't happen again. I don't think the Sirius Coalition should clean up after Rheinland, but rather stop them from causing more harm than they already have. By stopping Rheinland's government, as far as I understand, the Sirius Coalition would be indirectly fixing the problem in Munich.
The Red Hessians mostly operate only in Rheinland as you said Comrade Commissar and personally this is not enough for me. That is why I want to join the Sirius Coalition . I don't want to just help the people of Rheinland but also the people from other houses. Most of the governments are tainted by corruption and greed, this I have also experienced through my few years of being an entrepreneur. There are problems everywhere a person can look, I'm just tired of glaring at them and not being able to do anything about it.
Dmitry were nodding during entire Eustace's speech and shaking his right hand When applicant has finished Dmitry has smiled and looked into his eyes.
Well spoken, comrade. It is good to see a man of noble ideals who is ready to fight for them. I would make an army of the people like you and would be proud to lead it to victory. But a soldier without a history is just a living maschine. Tell me, who were your parents? Have you got other family members which you respect and love?
Dmitry has stood up and walked to the illuminator on the wall. The icy asteroids of Siberia field were the best view while listening to someone's story for him. He crossed his hands behind his back and silently observed the scenery.
No, Comrade Commissar. Parents were Military but lost most of my family through the liberty war. Life moves faster than one can think... I was away so much my Son started to hate me, not to speak of my wife. Manhatten does that to people...
I know that my brother is part of the BDM and this might seem suspicious, but I haven't haven't been in contact with him for more than several decades.
That's all you can tell me about your life story? I am rather dissappointed. Another thing if you dont want to talk about it, then I'll understand. But you doesnt sound like a person with a shameful past.
Dmitry has slowly went back to his chair and took a seat.
So you do have a son and a wife. Any plans to move them to Sirius Coalition after you join us? Or you think the Liberty is a better place for them? Also, your son have started to hate you? Havent you said him about your ideals? I am sure he would start to call you a hero.
The retort of a standard issue Commissar "Execution" heavy magnum echoed in the Coalition recruitment office. A quiet followed, then the intercom buzzed.
"Cleanup crew to Recruitment Office Five."
Soon, the body of Russian Karimov was ejected into space, along with any brain matter that survived.
