To: .:j:. Junkers Congress - by me from my LPI- character - official
To: The Junkers/Marauders of Rochester - by me from my Liberty battleship - unofficial
To: Junker Marauders, Junkers Congress - by @"Snoopy" from his LPI- character - official

So that one unofficial one is from me and is far from mindless. And I only cared to even report it to actually get that particular nasty away from Rochester because he always undocked. Shot a trader and then fled there without anyone being able to do something about it since the distance is very low.

If we ignore serious indies we have a problem here.

we should, because why should you, as an indy be allowed to force a no-dock request against another indy? Fly your Official Tag and report from there if you want something to happen, otherwise I'm still firmly in the camp of ignoring them due to the amount of drama its causing

I must say I´m amused by posts like this. I remember not so long ago threads about so called elitism of official factions because they supposedly ignore indies and refuse to take them as serious partners for conducting roleplay.

Now we have a thread where is multiple time proposed from community to completely and deliberately ignore indies. Really funny.

On a ragebreak. Or ragequit. Time will tell.

I don't like it either. I just had nice RP without having a tag. If I need to make official factions or join them to be counted it will get very tedious to make any serious RP at all.

I think Thyrzul, Durandal and others in this thread are right. It's the right of Liberty factions to force Junkers to do their bidding. A bunch of ragtag space mafioso are no match for Liberty's Finest, and the strongest House in the original game. If junkers don't behave, they are slapped - as it should be (inrp)

There is no Blacklist for NPC bases. It is a complete Rephack towards the faction.

If you are upset that there ships in Liberty that are not allowed to be there because of the rules of the game (IE: Outcast caps) Report this to the admin team not faction of the base they dock at.

Outcasts are allowed to be in Liberty though. I don't really see where you got that from.

I completely agree that we do not need admin intervention for this issue.
Including the obvious ineffective system of Fr5's.
Since these reports require admin approval and are more often than not ignored filing them is tiresome.
Statements like this I find problematic..

Quote:You guys (yes Congress, talking to you) need to get it through your heads that this is a roleplaying server, and that there are roleplaying consequences for roleplaying actions. Damn right Liberty and any other lawfuls are going to ask you to FR5 outlaws docking on your bases, or fine you for it, or just shoot you outright.

Ok so in terms of roleplay..
Let's say a criminal is running from the police and along the way he ducks into a friends house he knows that lives in that neighborhood.
The friend is at work and not affiliated with this crime in any way but knows the suspect.
Is the homeowner therefore considered an accessory or accomplice subject to a fine, prosecution or to be shot on sight?

If this could always be handled thru roleplay I'm sure the OP wouldn't be asking for admin support.
The problem is the requests/demands to us are usually to make the offender stop docking at our station completely.
Which of course brings us back to the issue of this being a game mechanic problem.
Should there be a quick list of folks we could ban like on our pob's then this would be far less of an issue.
While I have zero issue with RP consequences the current system as it stands is too easy to abuse.
An unknown indy who may or may not have RP or OORP hate towards Junkers, Congress or the Marauders can easily use a place like Rochester to cause problems.
With ship creation being very easy to do and only taking a matter of minutes to change names, tags, ID's, ships and so forth recreating the issue is as easy as rinse and repeat.
Currently the only real way to keep this from being abused is to focus on the offender and not the official factions.
I realize its easier to attack the resident groups residing at the station since they're far more entrenched into the game.
An indy ship with no accountability, limited and sometimes no character creation/RP with an unknown name that is easily changed is far harder to deal with.
Also..
Quote:It's a shame, really, because I see the Junkers as having a lot of potential as a really smooth niche faction who would calmly wave something like this off going "sure sure, we'll take care of it.." and then offer some sort of service as compensation for the lawfuls to turn a blind eye. (Maybe try supplying some POBs? You don't seem to have any trouble maintaining a healthy five or so in your own little chunk of Sirius). And then use the money made from those services to hire mercs to shoot the lawfuls.

Amusing considering we in fact did things like this such as repairing, maintaining and updating PoBs for the LPI, DSE and many others.
More often than not we do say things like 'we'll take care of it' and go after the perpetrator but as mentioned before is easier said than done.
Your also correct we do have 5 or more Pob's to supply keeps us rather busy too.

As for hiring mercs we do that quite often too.

Perhaps allowing official Junker factions and/or some indy Junkers to enforce the 'no dock' command in game for Rochester would allow for more direct control.

Here is a copy of the Orange Treaty for those of you who are not familiar which states that Outcast caps are not permitted in Liberty space
