You could have acted in a way that would not have blown your cover. However, from my point of view, the way you talked to the Whale pilot was a perfect introducion for a nomad to jump in. I mean, you were aware of a cloaked ship in range, and the same way you expected me to warn you about me decloaking, the same way I could have expected a PM telling me to not do anything. After all, there was like a minute of time before I started firing torpedos at the not-moving, unarmored, solo-flying Whale.

My cloak noises haven't worked for months now, and I'm not sure why. I didn't know you were around at all, though it's not your fault for not knowing that.

I suppose the main problem here is that I, as a Wild player, have no idea how to react to the Vagrant style of roleplay. If my character is a thrall to the Nomads and their desires, am I even permitted to treat you with hostility and/or indifference? It's a grey area for me, but I do admit that I haven't bothered to read your lore and have just been treating you as K'Hara mark two. From where I am sitting, though, it simply looked like you were jumping in to override all my waffling prior to killing him because you were itching to get it for yourself. To me, it looks like the onus to poke someone ooRP and let them know that this might be about to happen is on you, not on me. I appreciate the apology, though.

Months of experience have shown we have enjoyed the game more and delivered more quality encounters when we were on our own and not in a group that is spamming memes in pink. The only thing I can do is apologizing for actually having had the wrong impression on you, as I got the very impression it was a good introduction to uncloak and, well, do what a nomad is supposed to do in their hunting grounds. In the end, the dialogue didn't really look like there would be much more than a little chit chatter be anyway.

I don't mean to be rude, but the solo grouping thing smacks of elitism - particularly with the 'more quality encounters' end of things. Speaking as someone who's been with Aoi since the initial days of the 2013 reboot, there is already enough division and fractious relations between the Nomad/Wild factions without creating more - something that is particularly annoying considering the nature of the mindshare and how it complicates RP even if all parties involved are actually talking to one another. The last thing the Nomad/Wild set of factions needs is more groups trying to edge out of ooRP cooperation - the three Wild factions do enough infighting to cause everyone enough hassle already. I know group chat can be a meme-infested sh*tfest at times, though, so I can see where you're coming from on that tangent at least.

Either way, thanks for the reply. It clears up a few concerns I had - if it was more of a misunderstanding than anything malicious on your part, I'm happy enough to leave it as it is, and to look forward to more positive & enjoyable encounters like the fight just prior to that in future. (sun)

I suggest reading the lore, then, as the Vagrants are not connected to the K'haran Mindshare. That's the very inRP explanation, while the ooRP explanation was already given.

Anyway, see you in space again, Omi. ;3
