Any more than 1000 is just obscene.
I do the same in my Hogosha, don't want to totally stop our source of income after all.. Need them to make a profit so we constantly have someone to rob.

Yeah, that's my problem...

My character doesn't care if Kishiro or Samura collapse. In fact, he'd like that.

I imagine AFA and LWB stopping Synth Foods is the same, for instance.

Quote:/signed. Do you know how many traders I've stopped on my LR characters that start shooting at me the second they can? (Which is instantly) Six out of ten traders I pulled up from the trade lanes either started shooting at me or tried to engage cruise. When I stopped them from cruising, then they engage me without a word.

And what abbout the NPC's Disrupting the Lanes?

I'm a FreeLancer Trader and Most of the Times the Lanes was Disrupted by NPCs who Start to Shot on us Everytime, and they Dont Stop even if you Yell in Caps to it!

With Synth Foods, most definitely. With others though I usually see them just order the trader to drop half.

When it comes to Bretonians in my Hogosha I do the same as you blunt, I make them drop it all.

Ermm.. shoot back?

While I'm on the topic, is it possible to increase the probability of NPC demanding cargo when raiding lanes? That way there's a choice for the player whether to drop or fight, almost like in a real pirate situation.

NPCs are just topic in itself. IF you try to mine in Tau 37 as IMG or CR or anything OC hostile, you will get uberswarmed by dozen or more NPC fighters and squashed. However if you get jumped by dozen liberty NPCs you just laugh and blast them away. That goes for many systems. Someplace 3 sair NPCs blow me up, someplace 6 Rheinland pirates dont even scratch my shield. NPCs are just annoyance.

I actually had a lot of fun! I escorted a Kishiro and GMG ship into Liberty - and by chance we got the notion of buying ore from small-time miners for about 4000 per unit, then hauling the stuff ourselves to Narita at our own risk.

The interaction was much better. It opens up new possibilities such as:

Claim-jumpers (people who ninja-beam ore from the miner).

Noob miners earning a real living rather than begging for cash.

New activity in Kusari (by god, pirates in Shikoku? Maybe the BHG shold start stationing ships at Deshima again!).

Dynamic Economy - This is the first time in Disco I felt a real sense of economy! As a trader I haggled with miners to get a good price.

The miners sold to me as they were primary producers and effectively shared the profits. I then took the goods off their hands and made the dangerous journey myself with escorts.

There are still a few little quirks to sort out (profit levels etc.) But everyone who was with me really enjoyed it - and I would like to suggest that more and more primary production head in this direction!

So...would miners attacking other miners be...unlawful?

I had two miners attack a USI ship carrying Ore to Narita, both miners had type 3 turrets, ripped the USI ship apart.

Whats the line with miners? When they start attacking Traders? Or when the camp outside the Selling points and Jumpgates?

We have pirates from Liberty and Rhineland actually pirating...in New Tokyo...for the ore.....in NT...What!?

And now theres Revenge killing...miners who were pirated and switch to their fighters and bombers, and hunt down their killers...

I'm starting to think that the Pirate ID might as well be replaced with the Mining ID.

Nope. Miners can demand ore.
