JUmp hole disruptions would be pretty cool, either in that they dont work or they send you to a random system. In fact something ive always liked the idea of is jump hole malfuction where they send you to a random system by accident.



What could possibly happen is if RP takes us there and say Bret and Lib or RH get on really good terms we could maybe see a transgalatic jump gate going from say... california to cambridge, or similar like that.

The jump holes work if they are phase-aligned, so maybe we can setup times to when they are phase aligned, or something like this?

I think jumphole disruption would be awesome. They people that are incoming to the jumphole would simply come out, as the jumphole cutscene is just a loading screen.

I like the Idea of phase allignment

Also I think that cap ships should be able to "block" jump holes and jump gates.

If u help the bunny he wont kill u when he takes over the world.

they can....ask RM....you sit a big enough capship on top of it...you cant reach it...just bounce off of the ship's hitbox....

Yeah when a group of fighters are chasing a runaway enemy. And I am with them, I will dock the JH from as far away as I can thus forcing the runaway to wait in line...it works nicely for jump holes and amazingly for jump gates...

Strange thread.

Blocking/disrupting jump gates is impossible in this game. In SP it's done by scripts. In multiplayer, they might be either permanently locked or permanently open.

Is there some sort of FLHook command for closing jumpholes? Hell, they have FLHook commands for docking with player battleships, why not that?

Hello,

in response to a battleship not being able to block a JH. Please try it !!! you can block other people from docking if your ship is parked as such that the JH is totally with in your hull. Other ship will bang about (or ghost dock) to get the docking done.

If not, could admins create a barge ship, designed to block JH ?
very little guns, Massive armor, massive ship.
