It's suined the damn SP for me!

Unmodded I had great fun doing SP, been playing Discovery on & off for a few months now so I thought to refresh myself with the History & Factions of the game i'd play SP.

It started out well but now i'm at the stage were i've progressed through a good bit of the game and I can't buy better ships because of level and being outnumbered by many NPC's in better ships with the NPC advantage that (conviently) ally NPC's don't have makes for banging head against the wall material!!:angry:

Remember that disco was never designed as a sp mod, it was designed for multiplayer. Just cheat or disable disco if you want to play SP.

Cheat? Simple. Ioncross Save Editor. Although I would recommend not cheating for all of it except mission 4. Mission 4 is stupidly hard.

If you look at your FLMM a mod called heavy fighter uber shield should be there, activate it, buy it on Manhattan for $5, enjoy being invulnerable.

Or you could use IONCROSS character editor to give your starflyer level 10 shields and weapons and a titan powerplant as well and over 9000 bot and bats.

Easy to use? Yes, fairly so. You might need to move some files into your Ioncross directory to get it to work properly with Disco, though,

Hey guys,

I'm new so I know my opinion probably doesn't matter so much. I started playing Freelancer in 04/05 and quit when i went to play FPS games with friends. Since then every now and again I've come back to it, downloaded a mod or so and done SP again.

I've never been one for multiplayer freelancer, because I'm not dedicated to gaming every day. I love the storyline in sp so I repeat it to try out new mods etc. I heard this is one of the best going so I got it, played it and yea it is a great mod but SP is impossible and incredibly frustrating and I don't want to have to cheat to be able to do it. I got to level 11 and decided to do a few trade routes between Cambridge and Leeds, got attacked by some Corsairs trying to steal my loot.. and it took my about 30 mins to kill 4 ships, because of this, I'm reverting back to my previous mod (I won't say the name) but I will keep an eye out here to see if you bring out an SP based version of this mod which removes the overpowered AI's.

Just my two cents.
