they come with a fresh approach to the server and what do they get.
Hammered from some socalled oldtime players that cant understand their RP.
It reminds me of when the JG came to the server, altru we did not have the same problems cuz server was less biassed back in 2007.
Every great faction have to start from somewere look at Hellfire-Coalition-Benitez- i can go on
so lets see how they RP and what happens.
But drop the flaming that will not lead to anything.
I am not a native English Speaker, so i make grammar errors.
But it annoys me when people make silly comments about that... especially brits who for the most part can't speak their own language let alone anyone elses!
After reading through your original writeup and many of the comments which have followed, I have some thoughts to share.
There are some things about the history portion. It does seem like the Second Era is far enough removed from the First Era and before that it could be seen as a separate faction entirely. Perhaps you could get the earlier portions mesh with the established history a bit better but then keep modern times as it is. I could certainly imagine a group might form with claims of lineage from older groups which may have since diverged into separate groups entirely. In particular, the aspects of gate technology and the role the LSF is known to play in connection to it. In particular, the parts with protection of jumpgates isn't that far removed from defense of jumpgate technology. Either the usage of that ID with the rp of being a particular subgroup (with more focused goals, also see below), or descent from such government authority (similar to the Dragons' claims, but Liberty-er) might work better.
The other, and possibly more important, thing is related to your goals. You have it as follows:
Quote:• To bring order back to a chaotic universe
• To stem the tide of piracy against the civilian population
• To rebuild Tannhauser Gate and the great library of human history it once held
• To reunite the original four house in peace as our predecessors had seen
They are kind of, well, super huge and broad. While they would sound good inrp, I think it'd be more effective if you had more specific and smaller goals. The Tannhauser Gate goal might be something you could actually work towards, but more specificity in your anti-piracy goals and some first steps toward reunion would make more sense. With short term, focused goals, it seems more Freelancer-y and more in line with a smaller inrp group (so long as you're sticking with FL ID).
As an example, I'll use the Gaians. While one of their major goals is stopping terraforming, they have the far more focused goals of stopping the Harris project, of stopping the Ayr project, and similar.
Maybe define some specific goals for and engage in more activities along the edge of Liberty? That would fit with the anti-piracy stance more than activities in NY, which should logically be pretty safe, even if things aren't quite balanced that way at present.
Anyway, a bit rambly, but hopefully it contains some helpful insight.

Thank you for your input. We will discuss, between us, at the earliest opportunity.

I thank you sir for your thoughtful insights. It seems you do understand the Lore and I appreciate your comments without the bitter after bite so many use. Your statements are clear, concise and focused. The player of Senior Judge Yohance wrote our lore and I shall ask him to answer your specifics as he knows it best.
As to the goals, you are absolutely correct. They are “super broad.” They are designed that way for a reason. Choosing a goal such as “Stopping the Harris project” would overly confine our operations. We wanted goals as broad as possible for the exact reason you stated, because they are impossible. Imagine a moment, an impossible goal encompassing the entire Cluster that you are dedicated to achieve. Imagine the possibilities, the intrigues, the treaties and sheer RP it would require. It is not the goal you see, it is the journey. That is where we are different from most linear factions. Our vision is not confined to some small group of stars chasing pirates. That may be a part of our goals, but never a goal itself. It is the impossible goals which stand in Honor that we strive for. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE. IT HAS NEVER BEEN DONE. IT IS INSANE TO EVEN TRY. What greater challenge can a gamer wish for? The very thought of it stirs the soul. Do you not feel the smallest tug, toward something great and impossible? Can you see the vision?
There is another reason the Judges prefer large visions as well. In another world I am a writer with some small successes here and there. On Disco, I write tales of the Judges and use the Judges and their missions as inspiration for the stories. I use their names and have them act as I think they would have in each tale, and they all have approval/veto power over the story they are in if they feel I did not get the character right. They have so far enjoyed the tales and wish for more. A large scope of vision makes for a large pool to draw a story from.
Wow this is becoming quite a mess to keep track of.
Some of what is being said I think is simply flame, some are legitimate questions, comments and concerns, everything else I is getting so lost in the muck that I am seeing repeat questions that the answers are getting missed for. I think this is because it is getting hard to read some of these. (5 or 6 quotes in a single message can strain anyone's eyes)
I am offering this as an alternative to the battles going on around here just now. I'd like to live chat with anyone who wishes to legitimately discuss our faction thread and has comments and questions. I will happily talk/argue with any and all. Tomorrow, March 2nd, from 1pm to 3pm EST (6pm-8pm GMT), I will be on Skype to voice chat with anyone who wishes to discuss this with us. My Skype name is
Judge Yohance send me a skype invite, I will accept them just before the session begins
Anyone who wishes to talk is welcome to come talk. There are two conditionals on this.
1) I will be recording the entire session for purposes of posting it back to the forums.
2) Those who come to this group chat are to keep it civil. Swears must be kept to a minimum so I can post this back to the forum (To accommodate server rules I will censor any that do slip through).
This is not a flame session. I genuinely want to hear and discuss with others and the forum thread I feel is just so muddied right now that just trying to find actual questions and comments is becoming a challenge. I think this will help both sides.

Wouldn't it be better if you used the Server Time instead of USA Time so everybody can know when to join if required? I am assuming that the Time will be 6-8pm SMT.

Earlier today, I had that same experience:
Casually waiting in a lane with a normal pirate ID.
7 Judges come down the lane and stop.
They see me, and start pewing after 2 or so lines.
I am now blindly running for my life in a bomber whilst I have 7 eagles trying to shoot me down.
I managed to get away.
So you see why you never gonna be good for Disco. Learn to RP and, for the love of god, stop ganking people. 2v1 is fine. 9v1 is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay not cool.
