The overall work is kind of eye catching, but to me it doesn't look like a Transmission Bar at all. To my eye, it is a buncha FX.

I looked at it again...Couple of more things.
The guy's face doesn't really fit in. As I said, it is a transmission bar and I take it literally. To me, it is a some sort of a terminal, personal PDA, etc...

Perhaps the very top layers ( 0 ) ) ) the wings ( ) and the center piece 0 could be connected together with some sort of frame or wiring. It is not that hard to do, but would connect them together more solid, giving it a feel of unity.

The bottom layer, where ONLINE is, perhaps a different interface brush and slightly different coloring.

I still say: The project is eye catching, but seems raw and incomplete, just like a lot of your other projects.

While I am no graphics master, I must side with Makc, the work seems very eye-catching but at the same time overfilled with effects.
In my opinion transmission bars should be as simple as possible, yet candy for the eyes.

If this is for DiscoveryFL as far as I know Sirius sector is still part of Milky Way, so it would be more "real" if there were more spirals on galaxy scheme.
