If so, there is literally nothing of worth smuggling anymore except cardamine.
We in GC had several routes we used to alternate to prevent things from getting boring and had a heavy RP focus on shige.
And if Shigeakiki is removed as Snakthree states, why wasn't GC informed?
It is still an active faction perk and we have not had a single heads up.
devs just removing more stuff to make it easier for them dont worry about it. probably going to lose another 10 or so systems in the next big update and be down to a couple dozen commods : )
maybe if you were haste or haste-adjacent they would have thought about involving you in hastescovery freehaster 5.0

Because they don't care. It's like economy overhaul was done by people who don't trade or smuggle. With removal of rather unique and niche commodities, they made it absolutely bland. Like food without salt. Zero foresight.

I can legit state that with this purge of everything that was still viable as RP tool, that there is little that I can do to keep GC running. Some very important lore elements that we played around with have just been deleted without consultation or even heads up. Most commodities aren't just for making money, they are essential to the identity of the (player) faction. Sometimes years of RP go into it.
Visited Ainu Depot and it also sells nothing. Matsuda is apparently deleted too without any story.
70% of GC activity was convoying smuggling goods (mainly shige) to houses and get encounters along the way. We perked our own commodity with its own lore and invested a lot of a RP around it, and it was blattantly deleted without even a care to DM me or anyone else in GC.
Hey, on the bright side you can now go through the RP and perking process again! Let's say the temporary Cardi shortage has caused a stop of production of Shigeakiki xD
Hmmm.....a patch for the super-rich. Devaluation means they don't have to worry about caps and removal of the more lucrative trade goods makes it harder for the lone trader to join them. Just a little too real guys.

If all the prices of ships, equipment, cargo and money (that people already have) was divided by 100, the relative value remains the same. Buying power is the same. Nothing changes for new or returning players in terms of ability to make money and buy stuff.

It is not devaluation. It is an introduction of a replacement currency. Like going from Pounds, Shillings and Pence to Dollars and cents.
