The situation in Bretonia is dire. As the Kusari invasion continues, it looks like the Bretonian Gold Mining industry crashed overnight.
Dublin was deserted from the moment I arrived. No radio chatter, no Hegemons, not even Mollies or Armed Forces patrols. For all intents and purposes, dead. While passing by Graves I sighted a lone Armoured Transport bearing a RUS IFF which, from experience, can only be a bad thing. I ran into Jack Henderson (IMG Dublin Mining Ops Coordinator), Anna McCarthy (Also IMG; Someone whom John would be familiar with) and a BMM Hegemon, the aptly named Scavenger outside the Essex. It was a good image of the situation; dry humour and idleness. The Scavenger had returned from a mining field with a mere two chunks of gold ore and even made a suicide attempt before travelling to New York to try and "protest" about the injustice of it all. Overall, Bretonia appears to be suffering badly from this latest turn of events with deserted trade lanes and commerce at an all time low.
I've also noticed that a sensor that was left previously unaccounted for on Planet Wichita has detected heat signatures similar to unassisted re-entry. This also happens to include several anomalous and inconsistent readings suggesting that whatever it is that's entering the atmosphere, it's more than likely not a meteor shower from the nearby asteroid field. Further investigation may be warranted.
