True enough.
Before [A] there was people ranting and raving about the Indians... you are right Joe. Heck the original game is based highly off stereo-types so makes when certain things come up it gets awkward to say the least.
' Wrote:Well n00bl3t, I made no comment on the quality of the RP, nor did I state whether or not I supported the group's actions. I did however state a fact which arose from the situation, which is that they created a middle eastern themed group and attacked zoners, then, without them mentioning any kind of god in their RP, were labeled out of roleplay as playing islamic extremists.
That shows that those who made that assumption were jumping to a possibly entirely inaccurate conclusion based on their pre-formed predjudices surrounding middle eastern culture.
I won't make any further comment regarding that in this thread.
You cannot make a comment on quality of RP, because there is no RP.
Mainly because they are Arabs, and there could only be Arabs really with the Coalition. (Which is somewhat allied with Zoners.)
Derp.
' Wrote:They're Corsairs so try again dude. They shoot Zoners.. they can't land on Zoner bases... oh look RP consequences. If your going to troll people at least get your facts straight Mudd.
My apologies. The one I met had no IFF.
Having said that and speaking of facts, please open your eyes and correctly see my forum handle. (Also, was not trolling. Feel free to explain how I was.)
Internet and other communication technologies are weird tools. A double sided blade.
On one side, people get to learn about what's going on around the world. They learn the ethics, way of living, dogmas and tradition of other ethnics. A wonderful tool that older generations did not have. I do not have any stats to support this, but through my experience, I've seen a lot less tolerance from generations older than the "techno" one.
However, on the other side, such tools can also be used to diffuse false information. Thus making people believe false facts. Letting them build their fortress on those. As we know, taking down a fortress is no easy task. So you kind of see the problem building itself in the horizon.
Anyhow, I fully support what Sov said. You can play the RP as much as you want, but do not try to justify the unjustifiable.
You people are lucky to have those different people around , it must be awesome to have white wife and black lover so you can cheat them both with that cute asian girl; I am so bored of all those blond or grey eyed - people here. Only exotic we had were jews but they were dealt with by SS.
Well, for me, the problem is very simple, people are bringing their real life problems and mixing it with the game, when they should do just the opposite: leave you real life problems where they belong guys and have fun, this is just a game, enjoy playing it, dont play it to ruin someone else fun.
Speaking from my own experience, when i log on into my TCG char, i know that the BHG and Keepers are the enemies, but after the battle i will send them "good fight, see you next time" or send them kudos...i dont care for their religion, what they do or what are their political opinions in real life; thats their personal stuff and i'm not gonna give them lectures about that, just because i'm different.
Now, just like there are laws in real life, there are rules on this server; if someone is obeying those rules and plays by them, you cant just punish or bash him cause you don't like his roleplay, but thats just my opinion.

Well.....we are on the internet here. The main point of us being here is to....have fun and have a route out of Real life and it's pressures for a few moments.
So logically, bringing those RL pressures here is counter productive. Also, I completely endorse the multi-cultural message. Thanks Joe.
