I honestly don't see why they should have administrators at all. Don't get me wrong, I got some good experiences with some, especially Soban with Ames. It's just... meh idk, there are a handful of people with basically their own station.

Well, as far as I recall, no-one really felt like stopping the "events" which led to the dissolution of the ZA. (I was going to call it role-play, but I figure lying in this thread does no favours to anyone really.)

This is actually a great example of how (in my opinion) the high prices of caps actually have a negative effect. Someone wants to use a capital ship for RP. But now first he has to go and waste time on money-grinding -.-

You'll have to talk to the VE about it. They've been granted administrative rights by the Zoner factions already for GC. And they've got a defense fleet. A sexy, robot defense fleet.

And noobl3t, am I sensing some passive-aggressiveness? Remember, even in Zonerland (especially in Zonerland) we're not all one big happy family. And look, now OSI has the freedom to be greedy bastards, TAZ can be TAZ, and the Omicroners can continue to be "blindly neutral" and hand out their most destructive technology to anyone who walks by. Really, these stations were somewhat free to roleplay administrators of for quite some time. Nobody thought to do it until the ZA dissolved, however. Even since then, we've had a few changes of leadership, including Freeport 2, Freeport 10, and it looks like Freeport 1 as well, since so many have shown interest in it, so it's not like once a Freeport has a leader, they're doing that for ever and ever.. I don't really see a problem, because even though someone "owns a base", they're fairly limited with what that power means in game. For example, unless I know for sure that I'm talking to Soban playing Edward Malrone in-game, anyone who says he's the Administrator of Ames out of the blue is probably going to be told to eff off.

It's just an RP device. You can do little things here and there, like Soban again for example, who has done his labs, worked with the Zoner factions for supplies and such, been the face of some Libertonian relations, and so on. He's not sitting there going "Lawl, I admin ov Ames. Gimme credits or u can't dock. U CAN'T SHOOT ME I'M NEUTRAL" If anyone did that I think I'd personally fly out and beat you with a trout.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that we should just let Soban have all the Freeports. Or, nope, that's not it.

When it comes down to it, for any major diplomacy plays, one of the official factions are likely to step in and at the very least guide things until it's been determined that you're halfway competent with Zoner RP. Even then, we're there to backup and support the administrators, and if they're doing a good job, their decrees may even be enforced. After all, the idea is that each Freeport is localized and takes care of its own diplomacy on strictly an RP basis.

As far as sharing ownership, that's mostly up to the owner(s). Really, none of the administrators have the room to claim any particular Freeport as "their" station. I'm sure it'll come up eventually, though. Guess we'll figure that out when the time comes.
