Not my most shining moment at best. I caught a zoner guard flying around in a Titanic class transport hauling military vehicles. Thats a no no. I thought the guy was headed for the Dresden Jump hole and so I tried to take the lanes. I fell for the oldest trick in the book. While I was cruising back from the Jump hole, he was already half way into Sigma 13. Should have figured he was going that way. But I did manage to fully ID the guy. I'€™ll get him next time and he'€™s definitely going on the RCD.

I caught two transports heading out of Munich with military vehicles. One I managed to turn back and hopefully they will join one of the Rheinland corps while the other one doubled back on me and got away to, I can only presume tau 31. Details as follows:

I'€™m not back in Rheinland more than a day and people like this show up. The ship was a typical Kusari Explorer class. I didn't have any time for a chit-chat so I opened up on the bloke the moment we could. Top of the line armor flown by a rather average pilot. An ALG transport waned me about him and there was a Zoner that may or may not have held him there long enough for me to have at him. Though too late to save the ejected pilots, I did manage to take out that pirate.

Apparently these new pirates have an Ex| tag that stands for Executioners who only seem to focus on Rheinalnd ships and traders. We first thought they were focuses against ALG, but they started up in the Omegas too.

It'€™s not every day I get to come to the rescue of a General. I didn'€™t have time to fully assess the situation, only that it was, or seemed two against one, with the bomber in standby. The Bomber took no time to join in the moment the Vigilance arrived. He shouted about why I could work for such a fascist régime. I could have equally reminded him how the option of peace is foreign to those who offer none.

The first task was to eliminate the myriad of rookie pilots that were causing additional grief to the General, while holding off that bomber and hoping the General could last a bit longer. Well I got their attention when the bomber started making some ill tactical moves into run range, allowing me to take it out. I focused on attacking both of the fighters, to give the General time to either communicate a distress call or get away, but he stayed! The Odin Fighter was easier to track down but they both seemed very determined to kill the General. I ordered all power to be given to the Missiles and opened fire. The two fighters finally soon came under some recruits from our side and one after another I was able to dispatch them both.

The General even had time for a quick joke before heading back to the battleship.

I don'€™t think the Hessians or Bundschuh will look favorably upon this at all.

Pretty straight forward on this one. Caught a trader transportin Gaian animals into Rheinalnd. They didn'€™t have the required Researcher ID and with a Daumann ship helping me out, they rather, reluctantly, correct their mistake rather than make a run for it.

I tried to warn that ship as it entered Stuttgart.

Pirates, those varmints never seem to learn do they?

The ship IDed Billy was sporting a Pirate'€™s ID and he didn'€™t waste his time to use it. Disrupting lanes didn'€™t help his situation either. With a cargo of some Police pilots and even a few IMGers mixed in, he didn'€™t seem to care one way or another.

Short on conversation, I opened up and sent the varmint runnin'€™. Not too long afterwards I sent him to be with his fluffy lord.

I rescued the ejected pilots and returned them to Stuttgart.

We'€™re trying a rotation system for a while to see how that goes. So far so good.

I ran into a Civilian transport carrying military vehicles from Munich. When I identified myself, he tried to activate some half-baked cloaking device. For the time his ship remained visible, I opened fire and destroyed the transport. With the cargo floating in space, I destroyed the cargo as well, less the cargo fall into the wrong hands.

There were two Hessian ships, a Gunship and a fighter, disrupting the lane between the base and Sigma 13. I tried to save the transport by opening fire on the gunboat but their relentless attack saw to its demise. I held position on the Gunship, hoping if I took that out, the fighter would run. It worked out swimmingly. No need to head off the fighter. I think it headed into New Berlin.

Finally, when I headed back to Mainz, I caught a junker transport firing on that broken down transport, looking like it was limping away from the station. I had about no time to question the situation and commander tactical to open fire on that ship. I don'€™t think he expected a conflict. The Junker transport was dispensed with.

Lets see what else Rheinalnd can toss at me.

Class is in session. A freelancer in a Liberty class transport, reeking of Molly, tried to escort military vehicles out to sights unknown. After explaining to him Rheinland 101, he gave me some free market line and I gave him a SNAC.

Nice little trader that setoff my Freelancer sense. Followed him to Munich where he landed at Nuremburg and sure as tea and cookies, he smuggled military vehicles. Stopped him about half way along the trade lane, gave my speech, plea and warning.
He didn'€™t want to listen so he didn'€™t make it out of the system.
All smuggled cargo was destroyed in space and he'€™s going on the RCDB

This one brought me back to the day when Daumann ordered me to destroy a trespassing miner.

This transport was hauling Engine Components through from New Berlin to Stuttgart, perhaps to Bretionia, I can only imagine.

I reviewed the trade regulation.

Article three: Trade regulations

§2. No traders are to pass the Libertonian borders when coming from Rheinland with the following exceptions:

2.6. Interspace Commerce hauling any of following goods:

Basic Consumer Goods excluding whips, chains and liquid latex

The Interspace Commerce transport was hauling Engine components from New Berlin to Stuttgart. I....I do not see exactly how this violates this regulation other than the cargo not being on the acceptable shipping list but to Liberty.

I also wasn'€™t about to disobey a direct order so, I confirmed the command to open fire and destroy the transport which was, again, was confirmed.

Is...is this how war's start sir?
