A request to pirates

This is just a small rant but as a good percentage of veterans keep poofing cause of things like
this I want to just ask a small request of the pirates that stop traders.

More RP less pew pew!

Like seriously I stop every time for pirates and try to talk to them have a little RP conversation with them
and I get shot at cause Im not giving you your money. Like really whats your problem! Im going to pay you
instead of making it harder and giving you nothing!

All you indy pirates. I MEAN ALL! need to learn to RP cause I have yet to find a non faction pirate that RPs.

Also what do I do with newbie traders who barely have any money:

I first ask them of say half of their money, then if they give it to me I give it back and // , telling them that that was some nice RP. ( Only if they RPed priorly )

@ whomever stated me being here since 2007. I should've stated recently, I haven't traded in a long time but since recently the RP seems to lack more and more for pirates.

@Punker, I try to have a small conversation before just giving the money over and because of that small conversation they shoot me first.

Also for newbies that dont have money, see if you can bargain with them. I just started trading again 2 weeks ago and I got pirated alot. I just told them I go back through and I'll pay them do. I however keep my word. Not sure if the others would.

In my eyes its all RP realy, even if pirate start shooting seconds after he ask for money cus thats who is, a pirate who cant wait to get his money, what you do then is fallow the act, say like "you dont like to wait do you" then you just give him the money and try to beg for merci or somthing:P

I'm an indy pirate, among other things. I'm going to tell you to take your comment elsewhere.

You can target your messages and broad sweeping statements at whatever group you like, self righteously telling people to "lern2rp" as much as you like... But every time you say something along those lines, you're going to be wrong.

Totally wrong.

I'll be honest here though... 90% of the threads telling X group to lern2rp, are infact threads which have the following subtext:

I just had someone do something which does not fit within my personal view of what constitutes roleplay. I don't like it when something happens to me which is not on my terms. Me lacking control in a roleplay situation, and not being able to govern or shape the actions of those around me, due to differing viewpoints and pre-concieved ideas of roleplay norms, forms and structure, is deeply shaking to what I believe to be true.

People who disagree with me on such matters are wrong, stupid, and must be purged. Preperably with fire, or other such violent cleansing methods.

Hmmmm....Well, redemption, you say you have an indie pirate char....what is it that you do that is so different from 2millordai?

Scenario:

Your on the mojave/new york trade lane. A trader approaches. You know for a fact that new york is swarming with LN/LNS. What is it that you do that is different than what I do, which is try and steal from said trader while avoiding the gankswarm.

Also, remember, you don't know that while your rping with the trader, he isn't calling LN on private comms and simply buying time.

I'm not trying to flame, would just like to know what you do that is so different from the standard.

@ JH that was directed to the ones I've encountered sorry I should've worded that better I was just aggravated at the time.

@ Bootsiuv As a Pirate I actually dont demand money or cargo. I do stop
traders just to check the cargo they have. Ask them where they are going
and marking the route they take. Kinda like researching. I play off my pirate as though they were making a list for something. Sounds boring but its something to do. Now to be unlawful I just annoy the local authority.
