well I'm glad snubs feel more and more believable every patch instead of pulling 400Gs in 0.1 second, enough to turn any pilot into a compressed sheet of human organs.
I waited with bated breath the new patch, which, I hoped, would not be the complete disappointment I thought it was. A good amount of ships I fly have been completely trashed by mass changes. Light Fighters feel like ass, Very Heavy Fighters are so heavy it feels like they have tungsten counterweights attached to their engines in the shape of a giga ballsack - and their constant clapping is alerting the enemy.
Newcomers won't feel this until they run face-first into the nearest pile of caps during a groupfight and get shot down because they took 20 years to turn. Or god forbid a PvPer that is slightly above their weightclass. The so called 'aces' and 'veterans' will still perform better. No, they will demolish players slightly below their skill not because of powercore buffs or shield nerfs (these two I do like, by the way - Feels better), but because their targets won't be able to move for shit.
This change was done just for the sake of it, not because it benefitted players who aren't as skilled in snub pvp as other experienced members. Mass was bad before, but still doable. Now it is just unfiltered garbage. Two patches later VHFs will have 400 mass instead of 200 and bombers will just give up on turning entirely - at this point attach two Bismarck engines on a Revenant and yeet it at the nearest Legate. At least it will deal more damage. Artificial realism is not the way to go. I would prefer if the mass changes were lowered a bit so I don't have to drag my mouse to Mars and back for a full turn.
I'm an average snub pilot, at best. The powercore(1) and mine changes are really nice and feels good, at least, (1)more so to 4.86 - peak. Fighters feel so sluggish, unresponsive and now, I've less capability to give my opponent a harder time by being evasive, because I am unable to be evasive.
Flying a Defender (muh Liberty) that feels slower than an Anubis, Sabre or Titan isn't very intuitive and harms the gameplay loop. I pity the poor souls that daily-drive those ships, or anything remotely slower than the Defender. Ships now feel like they turn like the wasp CD, slow and in wide arcs. Think this nerf to fighter mass will do nothing but encourage sitting and being an immobile turret as they track as you fly on by. Yet another patch with too much at one time, rather on just fixing actual problems (read: mines, CDs, etc.) and just making additional problems by "fixing" what's not broken.
Fighter-craft are intended on being small, light and nimble. Currently mass changes bring VHFs up to bomber level of manoeuvrability, please do actually consider reverting this as it serves to only actively harm average to lower skill levels.

I don't want to keep bringing this up, but you guys should know that this isn't the place for patch feedback and / or complaints. Once the patch notes go up, you guys are free to do it there. Or create a new thread.
People don't realise that fundamental changes like this which initially appear to benefit lower level players, will quickly turn into a weakness that is easily exploited by certain loadouts. Especially when said players don't know what they're doing or how to account for the changes. It is quite literally impossible that in the few weeks leading up to the patch, to have tested every ship and gun combination in the game to ensure that this was a balanced change to make.
If the intent was to make it a fairer experience to new players, there were already so many tools implemented to help them, that refining them would have worked instead of overhauling the entire game again, and punishing people who are still trying to learn it as it was, and annoying the people who really liked Freelancer's unrealistic simplicity.

But don't do it here.
There's an entire BIG thread made from @Oggdo Bogdo that was never addressed, "don't do it here" is not the way to shut down serious complaints coming from the most active playerbase in the community.

You'll realize after playing more than 20 minutes on a setup groupfight on the testserver
as I've been doing the last few weeks...
That's factually incorrect.. you've been on the playtest for one session that lasted between 2-3 hours.
lol that's just not true, I've been spending quite a lot of time there with Madrat. anyway, way to derail the conversation...

While if I were to adress this is going to be spread out that the first part of the patch feels very nice with the shield changes and the power core change. I do feel like the whole thing makes it more forgiving for players with worse aim to get some shots and have a succesful pass giving them the incentive to actually try snubs and have the chance to learn as more shots will eventually lead to generally more dps.
On the topic of the ships, it thing this is absolutely horrific as it does several things that i do not find either relevant or close to where the average player or the new player has the chance to learn and become interested in snubs:
1. The ship diveristy has been gutted to a pool of ships that were already dominant but you could've had some ships that were competitive enough, and now there is not chance for playing your favorite ship, because they are not viable.
2. The main part is that of this whole "patch" is the fact that now, new players are going to arguably performe ever worse then they have as they have increased chances to be slower therefore easier to be shot down. They will feel the mass and they will have to deal with an environment where actually learning to move will no longer be needed. As if you want to fight somebody from the upper echelons of the pvp part of the community, they will be able to stomp you, however with the previous movement you had a chance to be spontaneous and even surprise them, but being able to evade. I believe that while the new changes BESIDES THE MOVEMENT are very good and new player oriented, the movement needs to be reverted
