' Wrote:I am a bit unsure about traders, who would possibly send all their cash to a different character just to be able to tell a pirate "I dont have the money, I cant pay."
Well in that case the trader would have to be forced to drop the cargo I guess. He would then have to land with no cash, switch characters, transfer the cash back, and continue trading. Quite difficult way to save 2 mils. But this can be added in the rules (abusing /givecash to escape from paying the fee to a pirate). Let's see if it occurs. There are so many way to abuse everything, one just has to hope people come here to have fun. (I always enjoyed to RP a trader being ambushed...)
@Epholl: I guess you have to be careful there. Same as when transferring the credits the original way (via the "U" key).
' Wrote:/givecash = a direct credit transfer from one person's bank account to another.
Surely you should only be able to arrange such balance transfers while at your local branch on a station? How else would identity theft be prevented?
Make it so that the sender can only do /givecash while docked.
That's a good idea too. But I fear there might be some limitations as well as Cannon said somewhere else that if the amount doesn't update properly you have to take off, move in space for a while and dock.
' Wrote:Hey, and what about the money attacks if some would send someone else 1 899 999 credits to corrupt the playerfile?
Oh...that's cruel.
Well the givecash function checks the receiving character account to make sure this doesn't happen. Unfortunately I couldn't remember what the limit was (and was too lazy to check) and made it 1999,999,999. This will be fixed as soon as poss.
