Quote:@schlurbi. I think we have enough rules already. Especially hunters have been burdened a lot with this.

Dont ask the Pirates. You dont think those are restricted? Do you hear me complaining?

Just my two cents: Have the bounties fit a set of criteria

1- No house lawfuls around.

It happens fairly often, especily in off peak hours of the server, pirates invade a system (new york being a particulary popular target) and proceed to generaly 'take over' until they go offline, or until lawfuls come online in force.

Solution: Allow screencaps of the comm menu in system sort mode showing the system is over run to allow a blanket 'providing order' type bounty, essently the hunters focus on taking out the lolpiraet's infesting a system and making it mostly safe. This also requires a bit of coordination on the hunters part. For collection, prehaps require death messages or other proof of disengagement for at least 50% of the unlawful presence (unless they have a few batleships around, in which case handle it on a case by case basis on how they do what they can to assist)

2- lawfuls arround (offical faction, or known and authorized indies, for example Gafwmn in Liberty)

Say theres just a pair of LPI Libbys on, but a few lolboats, supported by bombers and fighters, they can activate a blanket bounty for assistance. The hunters will then assist the lawfuls and dive the unlawfuls out and generaly assist the lawfuls.

The bonus to both of these is they would require multiple people, thus more role play.

Restrict them to specific hunter factions (at least the no lawfuls one) and you also get it setup with minimal chance for abuse within the rules of the agreement.

I say they're going to look at what they're doing and wont do the red is dead which is also stated above. Honestly, the most Bounty Hunters are sitting in their Capital Ships in Delta anyway, so you cant really complain about you'll have to search the Rogue before killing him. You already had to do this before anyway or you were just shooting up everything else which moves.

that part made me lol so hard.

seriously. it made me lol very hard.

you must be in Delta quite often, to be able to make such a 'fine, and truthful' statement.

Beats me how I manage to split my time so well between
a. sitting in Delta lolling in my battleship
and
b. PvP whoring every red tagged ship I see everywhere else

If only we could fly our battlecruisers in NY like the good old days.

Question: If, say, the police were hunting Jeffrey Dahmer for being a murdering cannibal but when they caught him eating a perfectloy legal cheeseburger, would they be breaking the law in arresting him?

If I'd wanted a consequence free gaming experience, I would play chess against myself.

If needs be, we can put the blanket bounty question before the Admin team and find out if it needs to be changed. Depends on how much opposition there is (as opposed to how loudly people argue.) But, within reason, I think general contracts to target all members of known criminal organisations are fine, so long as people are reasonable in setting the terms and can show as much sportsmanship in "victory" as in "defeat."

They sure existed in vanilla, that's why you see Bounty Hunter npcs fighting unlawfuls when they see them. If you identify yourself with an unlawful group, expect to see some Hunters after you.

Have you bothered to check our ID's?

We CAN'T bring our cap ships in to house space. Omegas, Omicrons, and Sigmas only - and we're prohibited from bringing them into Gamma, Alpha, and assorted Omega systems. Otherwise, what kind of escalation do you think you'd have seen when the KNF started trying to kick us off of Deshima?

As a liberty navy player, I will say the following. Bounty hunters have nothing to do with the law. They are NOT an auxilery police force.

Shame there isn't an Interspace Commerce faction contract that reflects this.

BHG ID change anyone?

Indeed.

The key difference is, obviously, hair.
