It was about trying to figure out what LLJK meant, since your members wouldn't tell the rest of us. I still think that my theory about an adults-only cruise ship company, "Luxury Liners Jettisoning Kids," was the funniest answer.
Wow! You've been playing RPGs for several years now? Seven or eight? That would still make you a newbie in my experienced eyes, since I got started about 30 years ago. As for your several years of RPG experience -- it means nothing here unless you know how strict the RP is here. If Chopper and others hadn't said anything, you would've been using OORP weapons on OORP ships and gotten sanctioned within a week. If your RP has been so flawless, why was LLJK trading in New Berlin with GMG tags/IDs?
EDIT: Chopper is right -- You've still got -{BD}- Black Dragon Society (Hogosha) listed as Unfriendly when we should be listed as Hostile. I guess I'm just being "ignorant" about your perfect faction proposal.
You tried to figure out what it meant by threatening to KOS us, hardly very welcoming. We were using the tag at the time not as a faction, but as a way to identify each other. Nothing more.
So I guess you were playing from the board game era, nice. I don't mind a bit of D&D myself. I'm aware of strict RP, I prefer it, but remember one mans strict rp is another's 'being a dictator' so I'm not used to many of the rules. I'll get used to it eventually just bear with me.
That's my mistake, I had read it I had simply forgotten about it. I'll fix that right up, no need to be rude.

I have no idea, if you wish to be neutral I'll do the same as I see no reason to be hostile.

Unfortunately, this new "wanna be GMG" faction, seems more and more what Blunt said: YANF with some kind of RP excuse to use anything in order to WIN.
"We don't have skills as they do, so we need the biggest ships and the best weapons"
"I PWN U" attitude is the plague of RP. And this is RP server...
If admins say they can play however they wanna play, they can. We cannot stop them, but we sure don't have to LIKE IT.
I don't like it....
Loose the "I PWN U" attitude. Loose the "we fly anything/shoot anything". Loose the "tsar" (even in Rusia, admiral was in command of the fleet, while "Tsar" was in command of the nation). U might not WIN all battles, u might not even WIN one, but u'll still have more respect from the community this way.
EDIT:
"All looted ones(They are only to be used for roleplay events only, never for personal gain for the upper hand.)"
What's that supposed to mean? If u attack pirate or get attacked by one u'r gonna say: Wait i have to unmount this tizona and krakens?
These sort of posts are not needed, they're misinformed and blatantly retarded. We don't have a "i pwn u" attitude, we just want to be treated equally and not forced to be the underdog.
And shut up about the Tsar thing, its an In-joke and isn't the actual title. Sorry for thinking you had a sense of humour.
What? No seriously? What? Can't you read at all, it's pretty simple. If a roleplay event denotes the need to use a looted weapon(Such as after a battle and quickly needing to refit) we'll use it, but in standard day to day rp life, no. Only Friendly weapons shall be used.
Still far too much hostility in this thread, don't tell me to calm down if you're trying to stab me in the face in the process.
On another note, as for getting pissed off easily. Yes, I do. Esspecially when my pet peeve come up, the only reason I got pissed off wasn't because I can't handle critism, no, its because I can't handle people repeating themselves. I was very aware of all the problems I was simply putting it on the back burner.
Now please, can I have posts that are to fix diplomacy rather then bitch about me personally? I'm trying my best here.

Than I suggest u start practicing...with fighters and your own taiidan bombers. Get skills, so you won't be "underdogs". Don't look for the "easy way out". If u wanna be "treated equally", be RP be SKILLED, DESERVE IT.

The Lane Hackers were not yet on anyone's radar when you worked this up, so we were left off of you diplomacy.
LH will treat you as Unfriendly, like all the rest of the greedy, corporate, swindling, oppressors flying about. I suggest you list LH as Unfriendly too.

I honestly have no problem with standing my own in a fight, the posts about 'being unfair' etc were by my members, not me. The main issue at hand was people telling us to ditch capital ships and just use nothing but fighters, which was stupid and simply would fill our RP agenda. As well I'm sure I saw someone post that we were to be underdogs anyway, which sounded stupid as imo, no faction should be set in stone. If they want to rise above the rest they should be allowed to if they're capable of it. It leads to interesting RP, I know, I've been part of servers were a mafia for example, ran the whole she-bang, it led to some seriously interesting role plays. What I'm saying is that exactly, if you can, you should be allowed to. I'm not saying that if the PVP gods smashed into the system and murdered everyone and became "the best" that it should be allowed, hardly. I'm saying if they literally rose up, in roleplay, they should be allowed to? That's all I'm saying.

Everybody calm down. Having just guided a faction proposal through the gauntlet, I can tell you how much work it takes (30 hours of nothing but administrative stuff in our case).
A GMG faction has the RP right to have some serious teeth. The GMG did, after all, defeat the vaunted Rheinland Military in the 80 years war.
I have one major suggestion:
drop the [ ] from the start of your call-sign tags. Just use Gcorp-callsign
The brackets don't make your callsigns look cooler, they just screw around with the in game player list. If you move them to a suffix instead of a prefix, then it makes no difference.
Sure, I realize that you probably already have ships that would need name changes. Do it, and I'll buy you the nccs myself, that's how strongly I feel about this issue. (Not directed solely at you, of course.)
Check out my Trade Development Blog

Best wishes for you GMG faction, it's one of the most needed factions around, i hope that you succeed and bring new RP elements to the game.
Now, if you're not scorched already from the barrage of incendiary ammunition:laugh:let me add my criticism and suggestions:
Name Gcorp sounds good, but I'd consider something like GTF (GMG Task Force) or GED (GMG Exploration Division) just because it's perhaps more appropriate to the activities you plan on doing.
The RP is interesting but you could put more accent on the merchant aspect of the GMG, they are a powerhouse possibly stronger than Kusari and as facts recall stronger than Rheinland, they mine the Gas but they must maintain the supply chain going, either with their own vessels or with allied distributor companies or groups. So a strong merchant fleet should be an option when running a GMG based faction.
But since you're an expeditionary force, expect the CEO back at Naha to be on your back, always calculating the expedition costs versus potential profit of the operation, if you were a defensive fleet, money would pour. since you would be defending current assets, as an expeditionary fleet your funds are more reduced and the military aspect is not so strong.
On your ranks I'm afraid i must disagree with you, a Corporation would never have such ranks as Tsar or Minister, they would use things like First Official, Trade Delegate or First Class Navigator.
Ships, your choice of ships seems acceptable, but if you're a task force from the GMG to distant systems you'll probably must focus more on light (VHF/Bomber) or medium (Gunboat) ship classes backed up by a large Capital Ship. Because a fleet composed mainly by heavier ships would be hard to repair and refuel without a home base near by, allied bases could help you, but a constant repair/maintenance/refuel of large ships would be very hard on their resources. Also Zoner/GMG ships seems a more appropriate choice, you'll be repairing your ships at Freeports, where Zoners know their own technology and your own engineers know GMG technology, while if you use Kusari ships, they might have some short circuits from time to time due the incomplete knowledge of Kusarian technology by Zoner and GMG engineers
Regarding diplomacy, right now GMG controls the "spice" they only need the means for their distribution. So the allies of the GMG should be the distributors, corporations and groups. Enemies should be the disruptor's of the trade or the extraction process, anyone who doesn't perform these activities, even if they "unlawful" should not be considered an enemy, because the GMG is a corporation, profit is their law.
...and if you please, add the ZR to your neutral tab.

Good luck.
Cheers for the kind words.
The name we currently have fits more(And is extremely long, hence shortened to "GCorp"). The current one is more appropriate because we plan to 'acquire' the resources(Either through diplomatic means, or force if need be.)
I have no comment for the most of this, other then that is true. In the background, I mention the fact that the Org has basically came up with nothing since its been working, proving it to be nothing but a money sink for the GMG. Hence why the expedition out into the Omicron systems will probably be their last.
Ranks, as said before. Tsar is a joke and will be replace with something more appropriate. As for Ministers, I'll consider your suggestions as I do also agree that they fit better.
Right on the money, we plan to have a large fleet of smaller ships backed up by several 'motherships' (Fighters escorting a single gunboat), but if something is actually found out there, a battleship flanked with two destroyers will be deployed to secure the area.
GMG situation in politics is rather complicated, even though nearly every faction requires them, they don't exactly have many friends. Which is why I'll be trying very hard to make allies out in the uncharted systems, to assist in setting up and supplies. As for actual trade, such as moving H-Fuel to the houses. We won't partake in that, it is nothing to do with GCorp and is rather part of GMG's actual operation. Our trade missions will be more of equipment, needed supplies or simply to make extra funds on the side for the corporation.
I'll set you guys to neutral and thank you very much, a post like this is quite a change of pace:)

Well no one really said you shouldn't use any capital ships at all. My point was just this: GMG should be less of "NAVY FLEET" type super-power. That would be OORP IMHO. Reasons you stated for using cap. ships were mostly: "everyone else uses those, we need the upper hand, we need to PWN corsairs and pirates". Again IMHO, those are NOT the right reasons. If someone really wants to OMGWTFPWNs pirates, I suggest forming a "house" navy or military faction.
About GMG vs RM war in Sigma, I'll have to emphasize yet again: Fact that GMG defeated RM navy, hardly means GMG had to have their own navy or fleet of capital ships to do so! It's more likely, they used unorthodox tactics, explosive gas clouds and such to win over Rheinland fleet. If you're looking for "proof", visit Sigmas and you will see, that ALL CAPITAL ship wrecks belong to Rheinland fleet. If GMG had their own fleet, at least some of their own cap. ships would be destroyed, and wrecks would be left to be seen. GMG vs RM is a story about "David and Goliath". So don't try to make it into a story about "Goliath vs even bigger Goliath".
Ultimately:
Limit capital ship use, narrow ship list, give up "lootable weapons" idea, and your good to go...

What? I already said capital ships are limited, stop acting like theres going to be more of them then fighters. The ship list has already been narrowed, the lootable weapons has been modified to the sense thats its less then most other factions. Are you a troll? If your not your playing one really well because all these things have been fixed yet you keep going on. Your opinion on the subject is null now because this is at least the 4th time you've mentioned the same things even though they have been acted upon.
