Not letting it be able to dock at anything for example. more cargo space so you think then you will see a barge flying still? as with some few we sometimes fly it. This is fun. but if it can't dock anymore at all it won't change the fact it will be used for trading.and the big groups have even more advantages with it rather then less. and the individuals owning a barge have a useless ship. as they flew those things for fun. and while it was so slow for flying and beeing a perfect target. they RP'ed it. But only for the sense of jumping it would be abused severely now. And people not owning a barge now think they earn much less. as instead it doesnt matter much. as i saw 1 guy dock at a base wich took him over an hour. And when he docked he was hitted with npc so he bumped away as hell. so not letting it dock doesn't add a thing. and the abusing like cannon say is the same. only fact remains if cannon change it in your way. that it will be jumped more often and then indeed for credits.

Barge ship is perfectly normal and I wouldn't touch cargo nor armor, the fact is that ship is pretty unbalanced and from the RP side I don't see how he is supposed to dock at the station that is twice smaller size then the ship itself. I like the idea to restrict barge on planet docking only. Barge in space is like moving base.

So, in my opinion you should change only option five. 5)

Not to mention the extra 5 mins to land, the 5 mins to charge and sort out fuel and then the next 5 mins that you have to spend having been bumped by an
NPC and have to reallign again.

So thats 45 mins per jump... Jumping with a barge is dead, dont do it kids... It will make you go bald.

- no docking
- removal of weapons
- no cruise ( but increase the impulse to 50ms - hell, thats slow enough )
- spin fix would be awesome, but if we had it, it wouldn t only be applied to the barge eh?
- no drift ( very important )

the above is what could happen ....

below is what i d rather like to see:

- remove the barge ( no reimbursement - cause lets face it, whenever we took away a ship, we never payed anyone anything )
- give PLAYERS the OPTION to build a "barge" model instead of the usual "custom playerbase" ( so its mostly cosmetic instead of a playerbase )
- the barge would come with an automatic high storage capacity and wouldn t be able to build sophisticated manufacturing modules ( no cloak / jumpdrive factories )
- the barge should have a different shield bubble ( cause i m not sure how good it looks when you have a bubble twice the size of a sun )
- the barge option instead of a normal POB should only be available to PURE mining factions ( IMG, BMM and wahtever i forgot there ) - but not insurence, trade or military factions, pirates or civilians.



the result would be barges that were used pretty much as the original barge was meant to be used like. - depending on how many there were made - admins might agree to even "move" them via the .beam console command on factions request - so they would be semi mobile. - but since mining fields don t really deplete ( not permanently anyway ) - there is no need to move a ship away.

of course - something like that would never be done.

ok if it is a first role of barge than allowed her to be moving base, no dock but opportunity to have jump drive and dock bay for transports....

yes , you will say powertrading? so what? barge is making for... isn't?

so my proposition is no dock rights except one time....to mount jump drive and docking drive , for transports ofc, and there is not need to be in player base when is barge 3 x large than a base but base could have a lot cargo space it self, of course sacrifice a turrets, build a cargo space ....


so let barge jump!!! i think already she can have docking bay...:unsure:

Power-trading is not something the dev team wants to happen with barges. I think the nerfs already explained to you that. In Detail, the devs have a planned max money you can earn in an hour.

Anything that goes above it will be called unbalanced and will be nerfed. Jump Trading is making that already. Barge Jumping by itself? It will get huge nerfs to re-balance things. So think of what you wish for. If you are suggesting ways to make easier money and faster money, dont expect it to be implemented.

As for Barges, I had recommend any kind of re-thinking that will make it more useful as a mobile storage having more advantages than the base storage.

i would say , Increase cargo Space ,No Cruise,Give it a maximum Speed of 50 ,Improve turning,Give it only to official Faction's
