I've always wanted to try mountain climbing, how do you guys usually get down? Had any accidents?

I had one incident where I dropped about 45 feet from an overhang, and stopped about 15 feet from the ground.

I turned a very odd shade of green and went to vomit quitely off in the distance. Put me off climbing for about two years... Oddly enough it happened just to the right of the photo I have posted.

I was leading that climb, which means you put the gear in the rockface which hold the rope. I was pulling through rope to attach to the peice of gear I had just placed when I fell, my right arm just lost grip...

The two peices of gear I had placed beneath it failed (or the rock did) and I was lucky not to die...

So yeh, its not without its danger.

To be fair, they're some of my better pictures, on good days et cetera. And I can't sing! I do drunken karaoke though... I'll try post a video soon. Probably involving liquor. To be honest, I avoid cameras when I'm sober... I don't like them.


Also @ Stoat: Lovely wedding pictures! A bride in green? That's different and very special!:D

Normally, I don't post in these things, especially since pictures of me are few and far between. (I am NOT a fan of the camera) This one was taken at a Pittsburgh Pirates game that I went to earlier this year. I'm not much of a baseball fan, but the tickets were free, and Pittsburgh isn't a long drive from here. When the mascot came around my seat, I couldn't resist getting the picture taken. I'd have posted a picture from my wedding if anyone had given us any of the prints.... that still irritates me.

One of my early attempts to satirize Harry Potter. I hadn't gotten the voice quite right (it's a lot higher and throatier, and I've dropped most of the Cockney), and I didn't have a decent subject (so I substituted my old Ruik's Cube), but hey, it was handy...
