Obligotary "Im better than those who havnt read the books" post. Smarm smarm smarm. But does the series live up to the books? I dont want to subject myself to the Harry Potter experience again!

First season is EXACTLY the same with the 1st book except for minor details. (even the dialogue lines are the same)

It is one of the best adaptations I have ever seen.

And yes, I am one of those book guys.
