Jim filled out the exam the best he could but having moved every few days to remain off the Corsairs radar he felt it was lacking a bit. No matter, school had prepared him and his usual fox like cunning enabled him to, at the very least, complete the exam in full. his whole world relied on these results, his life and he knew it. He'd walked in from off the street after landing without any pause for thought, he thought joining was a given but it swiftly returned to him that this wasn't the army but the space arm of the BAF.

He handed the exam reluctantly to the recruiting officer, the Sargent had disappeared somewhere lunch or something he presumed but he know he would no longer get any sympathy once this exam was handed in.

"Here you go" he said in the most chipper voice he could mange

"Thank you, please await your results"

Easier said than done, he knew that the Corsairs would be after him, chasing him even now....

A tall men, wearing a white shirt and long black trousers gets out of the Shuttle Express that stopped in front of the BAF recruitment office. He runs up the stairs quickly, while holding a brown envelope over his head.

'Damn it.. sure it had to started raining. Well afterall.. im here. I shouldnt freak out myself. Everything is going to be alright, its not the first time you enlist.'

The man rearranges the collar of his shirt and adjusts his glasses.

'Here we go...' he thinks as he opens the entrance door. In the small reception a damsel sits behind the counter, chewing on a pencil. She looks up to the man and says "Good evening sir. How may i help you?"

He inhales deeply 'Dont say anything wrong or stupid.'... "Good evening Miss, im here to enlist for the BAF."

The Damsel chuckles a little, as she can see the obvious strain right in his face. "Okay then Mister...."

"My name is Gallagher, Logan Gallagher." He answers quickly, as if he has been asked.

"Well okay, then i need all the information, Place of birth, date of birth etc...."

Logan opens his envelope and gets out a datapad. "Uhm i wasnt sure exactly how this enlisting works, so ive written a personal data sheet..."

"Excellent!" The damsel says. "Not alot do this nowadays. Let me look at it."

She begins to transcript everything from Logans Sheet. Logan rearranges his Collar again and thinks to himself.. 'There... everything worked out. Hopefully she wont have a lot questions about it....' as the Damsel interrupts him. "Well everything seems alright with that. Just one question though.. Why do you want to enlist?"

Logan thinks a little before answering. "Honestly, its the drill that is lacking in my current life. Ive got a rather good job, but i know that People out there are still fighting. Ive seen the war, when i was on Cambridge... and i feel like i shouldnt be here, sitting in safety while others dont. I dont want to be defended, i want to be one of the Defenders."

The Reception Damsel writes it down and finally says "Alright then Mr. Gallagher, we will work through your application and you shall recieve answer about it soon. Is there anything else i can do for you?"

Logan shakes his head and the Damsel stashes his Personal sheet back into the envelope. " Then, farewell Mr. Gallagher. Its 8 pm already, we will soon close for today."

Logan bows down, turns around and leaves the Office through the doors he came in.

After entering the recruitment center the guard ask for my ID-Card.
As I'm about to hand him my ID-Card several toughts go through my mind whereby I forget to hand him the Card.
"Oh I'm Sorry, I got lost in my thoughts. Here it is"
While im handing the Guard my ID he says " You dont have to be nervous. I'm only checking ur ID for the safety
of this place, nothing else".
After he takes some notes he hands me my ID-Card and a location plan.
After handing it to me he says:"Here you go. Your next step is the Building on your right, Room 42 on the third floor."
I nod and get going.
Several minutes later and after a cigarette. I enter the building and get on my way room 42.
As is reached my destination an old looking lady reaches me an letter of application.

After I filled everything out I hand the paper to the lady who sends me to the room next door.
Quiet after a while a speaker rings out and says " The next person can come inside". And this next person is me.
I opened the door and got inside where a dark haired, muscular man in a bretonian uniform awaits me.
We shake hands and he points towards his desk trying to tell me to sit down.
After we both sit he says:" So whats your Name". I awnser him right away and he looks something up on his Computer. He says: " Okay Ryan Sterling born on planet Cambridge, Engineer.. That looks good but now to some Question. Why do you want to join the Bretonian Armed Forces". After some toughts I awnser him:" I want to expand my Horizon, Helping People who need help, experience comradeship and see space". He responds:" So you never flew a Spaceship". "I flew a Clydesdale two times but I dont really have good flying skills".
He looks uneffected and asks:" That shouldn't be a problem at all... But what do you think can you offer the BAF?" I think about that some time and awnser after some seconds:" I have the Discipline and the will to protect and aid Bretonia." Some seconds later the man responds:
"Okay Mr.Sterling we will work trough your Application and you should receive awnsers in short time."
We shake hands and I leave the the Recruitment Center.

"New London again.Back to home planet after so many years of traveling,I finaly reached my home,Bretonia.Oh its so beloved."

That was the first sentece that a muscular man said after he landed on the New London's platform.He was tall,blond hair and eyes,average size and very young.He was also very excited,and somehow he looked very familiar to the guard that was standing at the doors of the tower where was the landing platform sited.

Guard:Hello there old chap,whats your business here eh?
Man:Well mate I came here to make some things clear to some of the junk pilots outside,I have some unfinished business with them.
Guard:And who are those "junk" pilots you have mentioned?
Man:Well that are some Sair pilots,and those bloody Gauls.
Guard:Well what did they do to you so you want them dead?
Man:Well first of all,they attacked my friends who were traveling trough Bretonia not long ago,and lets say they encountered me,so they tryed to rob me.And lets say I wasnt in a good mood that day.
Guard:So what happend?
Man:Well lets say I didnt get the chance to demonstrate the skills I have,becouse some BAF pilot showed up,and he nicely torn them apart.And it was a pleasure to watch it.
Guard:Say lackey,you look to me somhow familiar,have I seen you before?
Man:Well if you went to the space races,I am sure you did see me,I was a champion there.
Guard:Well remaind me what was your name then?
Man:Well I will help you lets see do you remmember,I got my nickname becouse of the style I drive my shipe.
Guard:Well I cant say I remmember it was a long time ago,but your looking so notorious to me.
Man:Well,ok I will say it to you,I gues you want remmember or we will stay here forever.
My nickname was and still is LightningBolt!
Guard:Oh yeas now I remmember you were the fastest driver in the Bretonia,until you...Say chap what happend then?
Bolt:Well I had to go,lets say it was private thing to do,so I couldnt stick around.
Guard:Well thats a shame and you were such a talent.So did you answered me why are you here?
Bolt:Well I am going to now if I didnt answered the question,and I am glad you asked,I am here to join BAF ranks.
Guard:Oh are you so?
Bolt:Yea I am.I was interested when I saw the beutiful ship of the BAF pilot that saved me from being robbed.I think it is called "Chalenger" If I am not wrong.
Guard:No you are not wrong mate,the Chalenger is the best bomber ship Bretonia has to offer and the best bomber ship in the hole galaksy.
Bolt:Well I am in love with it,and it looks interesting to be in the law force,so I think I will give it a shot.
Guard:Sure lady just go straight down this hallway and then turn right,there you will se a recruitment center.
Bolt:Well it is my pleasure speaking with you mate,and see you around.

Bolt entered that hallway and he followed the instructiones that he got from the guard.He saw some officer siting in the office so he knocked the door,and when he heard answer he entered.
Officer:Good day chap how can I help you?
Bolt:Well sir I am here to get in the line of Bretonia bravest man.
Officer:Oh well lady I think you came to the right place,take this form and fill it up.
Bolt:Ok thank you sir,I will be back in a sec.
Officer:Sure,just take your time,and dont screw something up.
After some time he returned with the form and he hand it over to the officer,with a smile in his face.
Bolt:There you go sir,I think thats all I had to right.
Officer:Well I am certain that you are,you writtened 2 pages of my formulars,but its ok.
Bolt:Is that all sir?
Officer:Yes it is you are free to go,and we will contact you for the results.

Well I am Robert "LightningBolt" Dzeferson,I was born on the planet of New London.I had to abandon it early in my life becouse of my personal problems I had to encounter.When I left I was 18 years old,and I didnt have much of expirience,so I needed to make my path trough the world of cruelty.I went to learn how to make a living and I did it.I have learned a lot of life lessons and I was ready for the suprime test in my life.I cant tell you right now what was it but with the time given to me I think I will be able to tell you later on.When I was still on the planet,I was a pilot of a racer ship in New London.And as many said the fastest one,thats the way I got my nickname.When I finished the problems that coused my leaving from New London,I was eager to get back to my home on Bretonia,and thats the minute when I realised that my place is in BAF.

Rachel dithered outside the recruitment center. Was this really what she wanted? She thought of the look on her father's face when she'd been expelled from school. She remembered her mother's when it happened the second time, and winced. That had been five years ago. Then there had been the alcohol. Then the trip to rehab. Then the drugs, and the re-admittance to rehab. She'd reached the end of the line now. There was no way she could go back to the family. Not now. Not after ................

She shook her head. No, no more would she be the disappointment. No more would she accept the disapproval she saw in her parent's eyes on the rare occasions she saw them any more. She had nowhere else to go, she'd made sure of that. Taking a deep breath, she pushed through the door.

The room was heaving. A sea of bodies stood before her, most in their late teens or early twenties. She was confronted by a large, weathered man in uniform with sergeants stripes, who pushed through the bodies to appear in front of her.

"Afternoon miss. It's a bit........ manic in here today. You thinking of signing up?"

Rachel nodded.

"Excellent! Well, forget about talking to anyone today. Take this form, fill it in, and put in the letterbox outside and we'll be in touch. It'll save you having to mix with this lot."

She took the form and quickly retreated outside as the sergeant pushed his way back into the throng. Finding a small cafe, she sat, ordered a coffee and started to fill in the form.

Dominic stopped to read the sign outside of the recruitment centre:

"Enlist!
For Bretonia! For Honour! For the Crown!
Your Country needs you!!
The Kusari are reeling!
The Corsairs are falling back!
The time for valour is now!"

He heard this slogan countless times already, but today is the day he will oblige to it. For today he was finally of legal age to join the military. His fervent feeling towards protecting his beloved Kingdom and her Queen never receded over the years. He still remembers that day, of which his admiration for the kingdom had started..

Shaking these memories off of his mind, he took a deep breathe, and walked towards the centre. The doors gave no sound when they swayed open for his arrival. The subtle, swift movement of the doors was soon to be followed by a welcoming word of the intercom. Everything seemed nice in order, clean and friendly.

As he walked towards the nearest desk, Dominic took a quick look to the recruitment officer.
She was young, seemed full of energy, and smiled as she spotted him.

"My name Is Dominic Cole, and I would like to enlist for the Bretonian Armed Forces, errr....Ma'am! I'm 18 years old, and ready to serve our kingdom!"
