He rose an eyebrow at Lord Curtis, and sincerely hoped he wasn't going to propose the terraforming of Leeds at any point."Ah, so you've deemed fit to grace us with your presence now, Thomas? In any case, no, a survey has not yet been launched. Should we authorise the project, we will offer a survey to DSE, probably for a fee of around 20 million credits. A global sweep could take anywhere from a week to a month, relative to the results we're looking for."

Taking a glass of wine from the table in front of him, Burns' hand temporarily disappeared out of shot. He swirled it around the glass, examining the red winemark left behind. Seemly satisfied, he took a sip. "To answer Lord Curtis' questions, I believe we do have the resources. The greater question is whether or not we have the commercial infrastructure to ship them in-house." He shot a pointed look at Grey.

"So, do you think we can take on a another transporation project in-house, or will we have to sub-contract to another firm?"

Thomas Grey leaned back in his seat and rubbed his chin in a thoughtful way. "I think we should have adequate resources at the moment," he said, "though if we need to send a lot of those new filters or anything that way we may need to get someone else to move a portion of the product."

Grey turned to his holographic display and fiddled with it for a moment. "Hmmm, my calculations suggest that we may need to subcontract approximately 10% of the shipments," he said as he turned back toward his associate. "Either that or it may take longer. I suggest we either call Bowex or Universal, or maybe just charge them overtime?" With that last comment he chuckled slightly.

The hologram nodded. "Well, that works for me. I'm sure you can deal with sub-contracting without involving the Board. That's what you're paid for after all." He shot a glance at the CEO, who had appeared to be vacantly gazing into his lap for the duration of the discussion. He really wasn't a very bright man, and fortunate indeed that there happened to be an enthusiastic, motivated and competent team of Directors, more than willing to run the business for him.

His most damning characteristic was how trusting he was. The fact that the aforementioned group of sharks-in-suits had elected him confused him a little, but he generally paid it no mind. When the universe unexpectedly gives you a large wage and a position of prestige, who are you to complain? A thought which failed to blunder into his neural headlights was that they may have chosen him specifically because he was easy to manipulate, and perhaps a suitable scapegoat should things go wrong.

"I believe we're ready to vote. I'll pre-emptively say aye to taking on Pittsburgh."

"I am also in agreement," Thomas Grey said. "In fact, I suggest we dispatch a survey team as soon as this vote is finalized."

"I have nothing to demur, Pittsburgh sounds pretty safe. At least we can except a low pirate activity there. And...", Preston looks at the others, "...since you know more about business than me I hope you have calculated that wisely. I say yes to Pittsburgh." He leaned back in his chair and waited for the end of the meeting.

Horatio sipped his sherry as the others spoke on the viability of the operation.
"Well, I don't have anything negative to say, chaps. It's another yes from me."

He tapped a few things into his datapad.
"And I'll draw up some figures in regards to monopolising on this operation, public relations wise, too. We stand to gain much public support in Liberty from this." he stated, leaning back and taking another sip. "Though, if we show signs of progress, expect every man, woman and child still on Leeds to be demanding the same thing."

Lord Curtis leaned backwards in his chair and said nodding: It's always good to do business far away from warzones, I agree with this

Alastair Lance tuned in to the conversation when he heard the vote taking place. His position on the Board was that of a chairman, but the other board members were generally mature enough that he wasn't necessary for anything other than the brief and vote tallying. It made it all a little dull, but he took it as one of his duties for the exorbitant paycheck he received. He began to mark down each member's votes.

Danny: For
Thomas: For
John: For
Horatio: For
Curtis: For

He stood up and looked at them all, shuffling the papers he kept with him to look important, even though they were only Planetform terraforming manuals.
"Gentleman, that's total majority. I'll contact you all in regards to what needs to be done once the Operation Plan is set up. A pleasure to see you all again, thankyou for your work."

With that, he left the room to have his secretary draw up a response to Deep Space Engineering, while he had a nap.
