The Invasion of Stuttgart

The Premise: Tensions between Bretonia and Rheinland had simmered for a long time. When the Bundestag reacted to Bretonia's own posturing, these tensions flared into a full blown border conflict and embargo, catching many unprepared. Hundreds of Bretonian nationals were stranded inside Rheinland, and vice versa. As the two Houses' militarys rattled sabres in the Omegas, these displaced and cut-off citizens were placed on the backburner, with neither House being able to secure the resources for excursions that could be better used manning the ramparts.

Of the many civilians caught behind enemy lines, one group was the family of the Rt Hon. Andrew Maloney, MP, MBE. Stranded upon Planet Baden Baden by the declarations of war, the family retreated from their mainland homes, into a holiday retreat in the Baden Highlands. Maloney exhausted his contacts in short order, unable to find any government agency willing to extract his children and grandchildren. Eventually, he resorted to contacting Bowex - an organisation he had previously led as Director of Operations.

Agreeing to the operation, current DO Liam Adama delegated the task to Bowex's Brown Ops team, the Clydesdale Brigade. The Brigade immediately set to planning how to best infiltrate Stuttgart, pick up the family, then extract themselves in the most inconspicuous and efficient manner possible. It was eventually decided the best way would be to launch a distraction to draw patrols away from the planet. The LWB were contacted in regards to this distraction, and a highly secret deal struck. The scene was set. The invasion would begin that Tuesday.

Major Bretonian Victory: The family (10 VIPs) and as many Bretonian citizens (Passengers) as possible are evacuated AND no Bowex Clydesdales are lost.

Minor Bretonian Victory: The family (10 VIPs) and as many Bretonian citizens (Passengers) as possible are evacuated BUT one or more Bowex ships are lost.

Major Rheinland Victory: The family (10 VIPs) and as many Bretonian citizens (Passengers) as possible are captured AND all the Bowex Clydesdales are destroyed.

Minor Rheinland Victory: The family (10 VIPs) and as many Bretonian citizens (Passengers) as possible are captured BUT one or more Bowex Clydesdales escape.

Use whatever you like, really. Snubs are preferred but gunboats and above are fine too. Just remember you'll be up against a trade faction and the LWB. Also you'll need to remember this is a covert operation. You'll be RPing as on patrol until you spot one of us or are otherwise tipped off. Because of that, it might be an idea to hold reinforcements in NB until you're mobilised.

I'll keep this restricted to official members at first and see how it develops. If things are unbalanced or undermanned on Sunday, I'll open it to everyone.
