Vista strikes again

Just got a new rig and the only (naturally) system that could work with the new hardware was that bloody vista.

Now - I got FL 1.0 to work, but as soon as I start loading Disco into FLMM it sez, that access to a file was denied/file corrupted (common.dll)

Question is:

Is there any possibility I could get the thing to work without installing older XP (which in turn dislikes what the new comp has inside)?

did you try patching it?
a friend of mine has xp but patched defender and the toolbar to work with XP

I think I've found a solution.

If Vista doesn't want to unpack the mod - give it on a plate.

Just copy-paste the folder with the unpacked disco mod(working XP copy) to the mods directory on the comp with vista. In here - it worked. Hoe it helps some people, see ya all in space

Im not a vista user but, i belive you have to right click in the FLMM and press " run as admin "
Or do a search for other vista threads, there's thousands ofm.

Done that - it didn't work. The thing would stop unpacking a mod upon reaching the first dll. files Withut them - it couldn't even activate the mod. It was the only prob.

i see so many people who have problems with vista.. i had it for a year not one problem.. Im lucky:P

Run it in compatability mode with XP SP2 and as an admin. Works for me... Don't just right-click and then select run as administrator, right-click on the shortcut, "Properties", Shortcut tab, and click Advanced. Then check the box that says run as administrator.

See if this works for ya.

I have Vista.

That problem buged me so mcuh but iv found a solution...

Simply right click your FLMM Application or "Shortcut", go to "Properties", then to "Compatibility" and activate "Run as program administrator" mode.

Or the best thing you can do is to go to "Control Panel", then "User Accounts" and press "Turn User Account Control On Or Off".
This will 100% resolve all your Vista game problems.
Well now, it solved all my Vista problem and now everything work perfectly(more or less, after all its stils Vista).
