About today in Omega 7. I can't really speak for everyone but, personally, I'm not above being paid off. The reason we didn't go for your offer was the way you worded it. Instead of offering us a sum, you asked how much would it take for us to leave you alone. There really shouldn't be anything wrong with that but its right on the razors edge of making a demand. A while back a couple of Reavers were sanctioned in a situation like that. We were trying to hold out to see if you would and we were keeping your shield down just in case you were trying to trick us. So in the future be sure to offer an amount if you want to bribe us away.
Thanks for the honest and constructive feedback.
EDIT @ Snak3: GRN tech is in fact allowed Sirius wide on the Merc ID.
' Wrote:EDIT: According to the Tech Chart, there is no stipulation regarding Gallic technology and any ZoI. However, this notice says otherwise. We'll talk to Zelot about it when he's around since he's said that he doesn't actually have access to the tech chart, but in the meantime I'll talk to the folks above me in the Reavers about it.

Kudos/Positive: Good pilots, solid forum presence. Consistent role.
Complaint/suggestion: I wish to see more flavor out of your iRP in game chars.
Personal Thoughts:
The basics of this factions are alright for the Official Status but the question I wanna pose is if Reavers thoughts on having influence in future Mod updates with Story lore and such. Do they expect to be used? Would the Reavers want to be used for Story lore. Do you want bases, ships (own line)? How will Reavers contribute to the community that other Official factions have failed to produce?
One thing the Reavers have talked about when Dusty Lens originally posted this request is about taking a system and making it into another Mercenary Haven like Coronado. How welcome this might be is a good question, but overall I think that's a good drive for the storyline. Recently we have bought the Survey Vessel Armstrong (Wafflestrong, Mercrosis, and Interstellar House of Pancakes have been nominated for new names) and RP its "administration." That's a small step to what we're trying to do. With a faction like this, we don't have much control over the larger story, but we can control smaller tidbits which make the sector feel alive and well. Fallout 3 is mentioned in the OP; we don't want Sirius to feel dead like that game. It's small details like a Mercenary Company which make a game feel alive.
If you look at the other two official groups which subsist off of collecting bounties, both of them have had constant employers. The biggest change the Mandelorians have made is that they betrayed Rheinland. Both them and the BHG are pretty much set for life with their contracts. If you look at the Reavers, that's not so true; we've worked for the Outcasts, then the Corsairs, then the Outcasts again. We've worked for the Mollys, killed Mollys, worked for the Mollys again, and now we're killing them again. You can see those changes in the OP. We are completely different from other factions in that regard. If you want to hire the Reavers, you likely have the means; it just depends on how big your checkbook is compared to the next guy. It's nice to have those other official factions like the Mandelorians and the BHG who are good at what they do and you know what that is, but we're a different animal entirely.
On a side note, those questions likely could have been answered by reading the OP and the rest of the thread. We addressed flavor issues on the previous page.

Cheers. Just wanted to say thanks for the thoughtful responses.
And yes, I was under the impression that with the recent change Gallic weapons (even if white-celled) could be used only into the Taus and Omicron Alpha (link). But yes, admin input would be the way to go.
Not to be a pain, but it's been a while since our 30 day grace was issued. Just nudging this a tad to see if we could get a response on the matter one way or the other.
' Wrote:Due to an incapacity to meet the activity requirements of 30 hours per month over 5 members, the admin team had to reject the application of this faction.
Faction has one month of "grace" to achieve the needed levels of activity. A vote will occur again next month (end of June) on the matter unless specified otherwise.
A thanks to everyone who's offered feedback, though. While I can't say anything on behalf of leadership, as I'm just a grunt, I think that regardless of the positive or negative, everyone's comments in this thread have helped us to grow as players and as a faction in one form or another. There's a lesson in everything; what matters is whether or not our eyes are open to see it, and thank you for helping us to continue to learn.
