ok now that's over, i have personal questions about reavers

Do you RP yourselves as a big organization? a small one?: meaning the amount of characters you currently have?
how exactly do they earn money? Do they earn a large share of what they kill?

I'm just wondering because if they do iRP, become rich from the faction, wouldn't they want to retire?
(this section is not a critique. If you do think so, ill smack yeh  )

There were no punches thrown, I merely stated my opinion which is based of talking with four of your ex members who I know to be good people. I didn't once say you were a bad leader, I've no first hand experience to base my opinion on.

As to your question about our characters. Ethan Mercier, aka Malachite, is Gallic. He is an ex-GRN fighter pilot who left for Sirian space once the Crown opened Gallia's borders. He doesn't share the same hatred of Sirians as the Crown, but he has no qualms with killing them either.

He enjoys the rush of combat, thus even when his neural net account has enough funds, he'll hop into a ship and fly wing for another Reaver. As with many of the other Reavers, he tends to blow his cash on booze, women, and keeping his tools of the trader operational. Those tend to ensure the need to continue to fly, even when funds are available as they won't always be there.

' Wrote:Hey, can you guys train me to better my PVP skills?! No, seriously.

I promise, you don't want me training you. I'm still learning fro Kaze, Bacon, Stygian, Joe. If you look at the Bounty Boards I rarely claim a kill (unless I'm claiming by gold pot, traders and transports). I tend to fly wing for the other Reavers because I enjoy group fights more than duels.

As has been stated numerous times, we aren't PvP gods. Do we have PvP Aces? Of course, but they aren't the majority in the faction. They are the minority. If you want to spar though, I'd be more than willing to spar. It will only make me better at my role as a Reaver and also improve my ability to protect OSI transports and GMS transports. Win, win, win in my book.

Nowadays' lack of my ex-husband and Mister Virus is a minus.

However I approve if only because BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD, SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE and because you're good for Lulz.

Ed: One thing I might recommend is bringing the 1st post up to date and mayhaps including a quick roster, like, Color.Reaver = Forumname, just so people can easily know who's who if they ever need to talk to anyone or such. Seeing as it's all Color.Reaver I can imagine people getting a little confused now and then by now as there's been a fair share of Reavers and all that. But that's all merely aesthetical.

Read the Tech Chart. The Merc ID is white cell to the GRN. Said white cell doesn't carry any ZoI restrictions. We are free to use GRN weapons, Sirius wide until an Admins says otherwise. Once an Admin says otherwise, I promise you my GRN equiped Sabre will remain in the Taus (Easy promise to fulfill as it already stays there).

@ Daedric

Read post #439 in this thread, more precisely - this

Quote:Couple of changes to the Tech Chart.

1) Kusari Explorer has been specifically listed as Kusari Civilian Tech
2) Tigershark has been specifically listed as Rhienland Civilian Tech
3) Generic ID's with Gallic tech have been changed from "Must remain in Gallia" to "Must follow the same ZOI rules as Gallic Factions"

That is all.

That's an admin I think. Or do you expect them to come over to your thread to tell you exactly the same thing?

You can't interpret everything as it suits you, Daedric. This notice is pretty clear and there's no need for any clarification by the admins. You must follow GRN zoi. However, if you read my post more closely, you'll see that I am against that rule and that notice. But that doesn't mean it should be ignored until it's changed.

That notice was about Gallic civilian tech. You can look on the tech chart and see the changes.

GRN tech(Musketoons/Culverins) has always been white celled for the Mercenary ID.

Just thought I should post here if anyone feels the need to discuss further what was said on the engagement notice thread, here...

Linky Link

I feel I have said my piece, however, I didn't want to derail that thread any further so I thought if you would like to respond this would be the better place.

Cheers!

I am confused.

(Kaze here btw, cba to switch accounts)

You're talking about our diplomacy, our engagement notices or
how good we are at killing targets that people just run to dock?

All of the above! In all honestly, probably mostly the diplomacy. You can brag to hell and back about how you can con, negotiate, renegotiate, switch sides and all number of other methods Reavers use to do their business but I don't feel, notice that's an opinion, that it's right to be able to back stab so often and yet still be able to go back to those exact same factions and start doing contracts for them. It might work once or twice even, but not like the Reavers have been doing it.

Take an example, the Corsairs, can you honestly expect me to understand that they would ever, ever in a million years be doing business with the Reavers again? And, hey, if it's the case that they won't and never will hire the Reavers again, I think then the consequences of the Reavers turning on them would be just. And I know the whole thing was about some or other payment that went wrong but that just confirms my point. If you don't pay the Reavers what they want, they will shoot you. Employers and future employers do not take kindly to that. You cannot convince me otherwise. They just wouldn't. They would find other avenues to sort out both the Reaver problem and the previous enemy the Reavers were meant to kill.

I guess my feedback would be, sort out some diplomacy beyond, we just take contracts from whomever is giving them out at that time. It might make sense to you but it sure doesn't make sense to me. Anyway, as I said, I felt I had said my piece in that previous thread, I merely thought I would bring it to your attention so that the Reavers can have their say.

Cheerio.

And why do you come here with this kind of criticism and not to the feedback threads of the respective factions that actually hire the Reavers?

Well, that's kind of simple. This is the place to post on a faction who may or might not become OFFICIAL. Hence, the feedback concerning them should be posted here. Is that not right, or do you not feel that your negotiations/diplomacy with other factions should involve you? If you guys don't want feedback, hey, great. Just say the word and I will not give you any, ever. Simple as that.
