Lets improve the gameplay between the Hessians and the Corsairs

There are serious problems between the Hessians and the Corsairs.
Instead of bickering and fighting each others opinions in loosely related general discussions threads,
I think it is up to us official factions to guarantee excellence and enjoyable gameplay to all parties.
Let us discuss enjoyable events, oorp ''gentlemens agreements'', bringing the focus back on roleplay instead of blue messages, and overal less grudge and more enjoyment for all factions involved.

We all have been going down a selfish road of me vs you,
and fueling our ships with oorp hatred towards each others (f)actions.
I have seen disco change lately from a RP platform into an ordinary space shooter where roleplay is being handled like a chore just to be able to engage in combat.
This is not just my opinion , it has been pointed out by countless people , countless times.
When are we gonna realize that we are all people who enjoy the same game,
that we aren't (supposed to be) enemies outside of the game,
and that there's nothing wrong with a bit of mutual respect and enjoyment.

I am not washing my hands in innocence.
During my time on disco I have made many blunders and stupid moves , and I won't deny that.
I do remorse them however , since some of them have contributed to the current atmosphere.
So let me start off with sending an apology to everyone who feels like I wronged them in some way.
Sincerely, I still have a lot to learn and I do try to make my faction enjoying to interact with both for our members , the indies and our enemies.
This is a difficult task.

So instead of getting more and more angry at each other, lets try to help each other out a bit.
Let's try to turn the tides and create something positive.

for me, I strive to make it enjoyable on both sides. The reason I do this is, I come here to chill out and have some fun and hope that my opponent feels the same way.

Working together with opposing factions,while difficult, can be done to the enjoyment of all. The biggest thing to remember is, There is another person on the other side of the monitor.

Hessians are supposed to shoot Corsairs and the other way around. The first Hessian ID draft (the one when they were not allowed to go into Gamma) could have made things better but for reasons I don't know it was changed.

Repeating these "YOU CANT DO THAT ALTHOUGH ME AND MY BUDDIES SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO" arguments over and over is kinda silly. Everything that can be exploited will be exploited. Rellying on your ability to yell at people for doing stuff that they are allowed to do leaves you with situations like these.

On a sidenote, the zonerzonerzoner was not done by a playerbase of a certain faction, but rather by certain individuals, who did it across a lot of factions. If you wanna criticize that, criticize the people who actually did that, and don't pretend it was the playerbase of a certain faction, because it wasn't.

Well, from my position there isn't really any grudge against particular Corsair players, just a bit of a grudge to the reaction of fighting a force ingame that is roughly equal and that you lose against sometimes. Sure, the FP9 thing was just absolutely radical, but it's a bit of a moot point since that kind of raids ended some 1-2 months ago and never really happened since.

I was in Corsair chats originally since I do have my Corsair indies that I like to play on around in Sigma systems and sometimes Bretonia, sometimes an Alpha raid, so that was my way to interact with the Corsair player base in ways other than on my Hessian char. Then I was kicked out after an argument that unsurprisingly was due to people acting stupid ingame... so now no contact with Corsairs any more, it's hardly surprising that the "us vs. them" thing escalated now that the Corsairs have little oorp contact with Hessian players.

So I've had tons of invitations to make a Corsair in the other thread... I have three Corsair indies of three different varieties for over a year now (Titan, Gunboat and Osiris) that may not be in space every day but nonetheless are in space every once in a while. Now I guess I extend invitation to Corsair players to make Hessian chars so that we can start interacting with each other in other fashions than just shooting each other ingame which seems to create tensions. And lets make no mistake: a Hessian vs Corsair interaction ingame WILL end in shooting, because that's just how these two factions interact. Rather than changing the way they interact in RP, lets make sure that all know that its just RP and not an OORP grudge that's fueling them.

Outcasts created a thread in General Discussions where they invited all who had an Outcast character to join their general chat. Something like that for the Corsairs would probably be a good thing too, and I would definitely put my post in there so I can raid different things with you.

Is the point of this thread to stop ganking or the consistant loss of one group by another. Because there's one thing to have Peace between neutral or wary factions, but come on. You want the Corsairs and Hessians to put aside their differences, kiss and make up? This sounds a little too much like Metagaming. Using your personal friendships out of the game to affect how your in game Roleplay works.

I don't have a character for either of your factions and I really see this as another, "Lets find common ground, make peace, send flowers, and gang up on someone else together! That would be so cool!"

Really? Hasn't there been a RP where the Hessians were supposed to produce or mine for the Corsairs and because the Hessians are pretty much blowing them off, the Corsairs are reminding them whos in charge.

Point 1: The thing is that hessian bomber and fighter are a way more superior then the corsair ones. This counts too for their guns.

In 4.85 Cosairs had the OP Osiris to compensate. On some weird Reasons hessians - RHA/RF and their Stormtroopers- ( insert all russ hessian factions here) raided gamma 24/7 with snubs and occasional IMG BS and hessian cruisers- I made around 60 m on my full solaris Osiris only by selling your equip in 1-2 months. 4.85 Medicore Ossiris Pilot(Me) could remove 5-6 RHA/RF fighters with 2-3 bomber supports without a problem. It was not cool towards hessians, on the same way that it was not cool to ride corsair homeword toward corsairs.
Point 2: Hessians angry because they found unfair that corsairs use Osiris vs Snubs and does not do group fights with Titans, corsairs done it because of point 1.
Most of the official RHA/RF hessians are more skilled in PvP then the official corsair faction players.
Corsairs on the other hand have the advantage of bigger player-base.

Point 3: Some <strike>Hessian High command </strike>Dev mega nerfed the Osiris and the rest of the sair stuff
Now the Osiris is mega nerfed. Due to some weird reason
Corsair guns are also nerfed- Pulses lost like 200 dmg and Salamancas got efficiency nerf. Corsair bomber was always crap- this together with both crap HFs. Legate is not usable due to the asteroid fields- 40 min are needed from Crete to Lambada hole if you are good Legate pilot.

Point 4: On some more weird Reason Hessians got Battleship somehow, on some more weird reasons they told us that they would not use it much, and at the begin of 4.86 there were 4-8 hessian battleships flown by RHA and RF in Crete orbit 24/7, same battleships shooting everything that undocks from the base.

Point 5: All possible factions are riding corsairs 24/7 except the Outcasts - this is even more weird.


Point 6: Devs/admins are not willing to balance the IDs not allowing 10 factions to Ride Gamma ( Core ID for example should not be able to move caps both in alpha or Gamma)
Point 7: Devs are not willing to proper balance corsair snubs in order to have any chance to figtt group fights, this made corsairs to use caps for snub brawls and the Devs nerved them too.

My personal option:
Sadly both sides made a lot of mistakes, however Hessian Official groups have a lot of Dev influence as it seems and they are making jokes with Joke gun like neutron Salamanca on 600 speed or joke ship like Osiris, or joke promises to add capital ship patrols in Gamma.since we all know that on full server the npcs are gone.
So most of the old players are not idiots- just sayin.
4 Things would fix the situation:
1: Give Gamma proper defenses that can stop alone without player interference Raids 1-3 Stationary Cruisers/Battleships near the important holes and Crete/Nerf the IDs of the half of the Riding factions not allowing them to be in Gamma.
2: Fix Osiris and make proper paths in the asteroid Fields in order to make Legate useful.
3: Fix Sair HFs and make them able to counter Odins.
4: Fix Corsair Guns giving them 150 more speed removing 300 DPS- make them 1800 DPS 4.0s with 750 speed and watch the show, or increase DPS AND efficiency.
5: Do nothing(Like adding useless NPC patrols) and continue to make people to idiots. There is no way not to have OORP problems when you make people to Idots really- it counts for both sides(Solaris Osiris in 4.85 and currnet corsair stuff in 4.86)

Official faction players that are often accused of elitism, never deploy them and have those weird, immersion killing "fair fight/dueling" suicidal hobbies. (yes, i've seen enough of those lolduels, where house military with overwhelming force on the field willingly loses a pilot in a duel. ffs.)
