At the beginning of the Liberty-Rheinland conflict (See Official Rheinland Military) a secret Rheinland Ghost unit was formed to be used for incursions into out-lying Liberty Space and to repel Liberty forces from Rheinland Territories. Until recently this 'Crack Force' was only rumored to exist, however recent encounters have caused the faction to make their presence known. While still being a part of The Military, it appears the 'IFAP' have been given a 'green light' to be autonomous in it's direction, meaning in essence self-regulating.

In more recent days, along with their Liberty encounters, there have been rumors that IFAP has also been in conflict with local criminals, however because no outlaws remain afterwards, and due to the fact that IFAP are vigilantly patrolling, very few vessels have been sighted. This suggests that not only are they focused on Liberty forces, but also on smugglers and criminals alike.

Due to the fact that the 'Independent Faction of Accursed Phantoms' has been publicly disassociated from the rest of The Rheinland Military purely to free up IFAP's actions, we have taken on Freelancer Affiliation to allow freer movement on missions.

And the first thing I was going to mention was the IFF, but Snak's already made a suggestion. And why is this any different from the BDM, and why do we need this faction?

Edit: The only way to get the Freelancer IFF is to get the double bribe on Barrier Gate. So you'll have to do a lot of flying.

The Freelancer ID doesn't give you the IFF. You need the double bribe to get the IFF. Recruit ID would be best until you can buy the RM ID.

P.S. If you really want to be shady about it, you could get the Freelancer IFF then have somebody with RM rep buy you an ID. Nobody would notice that you don't have the full RM rep. But you didn't hear this from me... (bandit)

They go everywhere (according to their forums) we are isolated to Rheinland and Edge Liberty space (Like New Hampshire)

EDIT: Similar to BDM in history, isn't meaning we do the same things.. Nor does it mean the future of our faction will be the same.

I'm not saying it in a bad way. I'm just saying that it's hilarious.

This faction seems sort of pointless if you're just going the same stuff as the RM. The RM goes further into Liberty than New Hampshire, so there's no need for this group. It sounds more like a squadron.
