Waste of money perhaps. But maybe the lesson was worth more the the money. Not everything is about money.
I had a job at 14 to get games when i wanted them. Was not allowed to borrow dads car when i got my licence. I had to buy my own junker to drive, and i treated it like a baby.
Now kids think parents are made of money, and they should have the best comp, best phone, best tablet, all the clothes thier friends have. But ask them to do dishes, or clean room? "my parents are so mean and unfair" well Boo Hoo.
I got 2 brothers, and a sister my parents adopted when i was 21. So they are 15-20 years younger then me. You do not know how many time i wanted to put my foot in thier ass when they complained to my mom when she asked them to do something.
The father should have shot her phone, and TV too IMO.

LOL Yup, some kids think they smarter then parents, but never leave evidence even if you think they will never find it. Parents can be very sneaky.

Nothing like selling something you just gave your child to someone else. Sends the message like nothing else. Disrespect me?! And other people will benefit from your actions. Also means he has extra money at the end of the month and how many people can really say they don't need that?

I say put the fear in them when they are young. I put my fist through a door when my brothers were 7-8ish after they locked it claiming i could not "get them". To this day they still do not talk back to me. Never had to touch them, but the idea in thier head was enough.

She could have done it differently, he could have done it differently...

Hate will eat you up from the inside, so hurry up and give your heart to a girl before you get eaten up.
