Worth a try.

Yay. ^_^

Some people would probably object. <_<

I don't think it's all that bad to be honest, personally speaking I ain't seen the general Order populace act that bad. Yesterday I witnessed a capfight in Delta, with roughly even odds, between some indie BHGC and Order, and it looked like it had been good fun and stuff, so yeah. I see your point however.

EDIT:

I see no reason why the Order can't go there or shouldn't. Commence pewage.

Np and double-Yay. ^_^

Official stance of Order on:

-Zoner allies
We know how to behave on and near Freeports which gives us unrestricted access to multiple staging & refuel grounds across almost whole Sirius. And we would not abuse our friendship since Zoners are our best allies and main supplier.

-Alpha raids
I admit, I took part in one ONCE in the past, with Resheph taking freedom to scout Alpha more or less unrestricted when battle chaos razed across system. Besides that anything else was result of self-defence in Tau-23, quite easy to get shot. Outcast-Order hostility comes more from the fact that some of Order players behave like bit different Corsairs or just copy their diplomacy, even if our alliance ended up months ago. Last player I argued with over it, took his osiris to Gamma. Most of Outcast playerbase see us as "Corsair (ex)ally" or "u kill our godz/spirits ONOZ" which results in being shot. I don't know yet if it is old or new thing but I will have look into those raids.

Back when I had the Bastet I used to patrol the area around the omicron 90 jumphole in alpha all the time - but more often than not it was to keep an eye on the phantoms, not on the nomads or outcasts. It was never a priority for the order to send massive fleets into that area of space though - sure, there are nomads present, but we try to avoid conflict with human factions whenever possible; initiating a conflict with the outcasts would be a severe waste of resources and fleet power, especially when we're already dealing with the corsairs and their allies turning on us.

Probably aint gonna happen.

I see your point about the RP behind stuff there, and what you say makes sense. However the Outcasts technically (I think.) wouldn't want to "upset" the Spirits for example by wandering through their systems, whereas for the Order it's just more Nomads, aka their sworn enemy, right?

So if the Outcasts wanted to really retaliate, they would have to pass through either the ZG system once they reached Theta, risking to upset the Zoners, or alternatively wander through Gamma, in which case - even though the JHs to Kappa and Theta are far from Skiros and Crete relatively - the Outcasts would have to get through the Corsairs first. So what that would allow you to do is partake in a conflict in which you would be on the offensive mostly, rather than the defensive war for example fought against the BHG Core.
In other words, it would be something where the Order could mostly dictate the tempo of the "war".

Gameplay-wise, it just might give a fair amount of people who otherwise sit around Minor all day something fun to do. I think in general the parts of the community who spend their times around the Omicrons are well-aware of the masses of other random people who spend their times there, sitting around system XYZ, waiting for raid ABC to happen, stuff like that. Not everyone plays the game for say "non-violent" RP only afterall, right?

The Order fighting the Outcasts makes zero RP sense. I'm only yay for this because it just might get rid of the troublesome elements in both factions and allow them both to actually roleplay what they are, and give better interactions.

Yay enough. Krieg is good, ja? 8-|

EDIT: Yeah d'no, maybe you guys can have fun raiding something and such, that's kind of the whole idea seeing as it's technically a possiblity. Maybe out of said raiding, RP could even evolve to the point where it would make sense, but idk.

I'm still waiting on 4.86 before I really return to disco, but I still keep in the loop regarding the order... mostly, anyways. Still, other than the phantoms, there's nothing of tactical importance in omicron alpha that interests us - most of our time spent in alpha has either been to keep an eye on phantom activities or to research the nebula around the omicron 90 jumphole.

Even around the time I quit playing disco, RP seemed to be meaning less to players than straight up pvp, so I dont expect anyone to try and follow any kind of sensible RP now - but as far as the faction's RP goes, we have absolutely no reason or want to engage the outcasts. Our former allies turned on us, we got our planet blown up by nomads, lost almost the entire fleet, and we're on the run to a new home system - we have neither the manpower, resources, or time to engage an enemy that's more or less left us alone in the past.
