With the new IMG shipline looking more civilian again, I propose that the IMG weapons should all be
changed back to their vanilla style again.

Why?
The red'ish look of the curret Vampires is quite fitting for the CR shipline. They also fit for the aggressive
behaviour of CR (which is alright with me), but they are in no way fitting for IMG once their shipline changes
to those new, brown'ish ships. Those ships have more of a civilian feeling to them.
Also many weapons have red-colored projectiles, IMG's main enemy, the Outcasts, have red projectile'd
weapons. It'd help in combats, in my opinion.

What did the Vanilla IMG weapon's projectiles look like?

How can it be changed?
Quite easily, this just requires some minor changes to most of the IMG weapons in the file

(cut away all the irrelevant stuff for these changes)

Those weapons have a more unique color combination, not just the red/orange like "all the other".
In the end I think this step back would be a great step forward.

So, I'd like to ask the developer who is in charge of weapon changes to consider this. Please.

I agree, the old effects would definitely fit so much better with the upcoming ship line

And besides I never was a big fan of the current effects anyway.

I agree that the red guns don't fit the new shipline. They do fit the CR vessels but as IMG will barely use those in 4.86 as they get their own line...
This rarely happens but I agree with Syrus.

Oh my god I have ALWAYS wanted this, ever sense myself and feldspar founded the ICMG!

I used to mount matter-thiefs just to see their awesome effects. It is such a shame that we dont have that effect on a class 8/9 weapon.

This has my 100% approval.

I'll see about getting this discussed devside. It really is just a few lines anyway. Could always leave the orang-y ones for the turrets. 's a tiny change really.

I agree once more. The weapon style should be the same for guns and turrets or at least similiar.
