New Freelancer Gunboat concept Idea version 2

I just finished rendering this latest Freelance Gunboat design and I'd like to get your opinions.

Its almost as long as the IMG Gb and a bit wider than most. It would be sold in Rheinland.

When ever I get around to learning Milkshape I may ask it to be added in maybe at .87. Who knows:)

Everything that serves to add diversity is welcome for me... and especially if it's free and not faction based... the model is cool BUT the "thin" part, but cool anyway mmm perhaps a bit too... advanced by the FL standards?

Looks like a Dagger that got hijacked and merged with some Rheinland technology and went on a fat diet.

I'm not sure about the green paintjob myself, but the model itself is pretty nice.

Looks a bit.... Rheinlandic, what with all that green.

Feels a bit flimsy for a Gunboat IMO because of that slim section in the middle. If you scaled it down, it could make a passable SHF.

With the concept designer behind it being a Rheindlander, thats why. I had an idea for a fighter but I'll leave that for later. Also, I have a hard time seeing something as sleek and streamline equating to more advance, just smarter design. With all the tech and ships out there, the idea was to make a general, well rounded Gunboat.

I originally had the front and back wing foils connected , but it made the ship a huge [] square target from top to bottom. Perhaps its best to make up for its thin profile?

The bottom area could have been bigger for slightly more cargo space, allowing a Cau8 on the thing with at least some cargo space left. Still with the idea of having only 6 turrets, its barely above a Gunship class. Then again, I wouldnt be the one to balance it in the end.

Make it a gunship, just cut off the small front half.... give it B'Nose stats.
4 forward 2 rear, agile, small, low armor and 400k energy core.

The shape is good - looks inspired by the Tigershark and the Kusari Explorer. The textures are terrible, but I think you aren't done with those yet. Try applying the default Rheinland textures and see what happens...

I don't have mind powers (yet) but i have the light suspicion that was the original idea, a GB/guship made by the same people who designed the Tigershark... who knows, perhaps we're looking at the beggining of a new civvy shipline... *crosses fingers*
