Malikk reads the transcript, pauses for a moment and rereads it again for confirmation.

"Its about damn time huh?"

"This seems too easy, Mr. Cross." DeGroodt exhaled and set down his datapad. "If these are the only terms, then Supply consents. I'm dubious as to whether or not we're being played, given the history of Gallic relations, but at this point we stand to gain quite a lot."

"I'll have our most senior pilots put on the supply operations. I don't want this going around to those we can't trust."

Taking a looking around the room and ensuring that everyone had arrived Victor began speaking, "We've a lot to talk about. Here is what is on the agenda.
  1. As many of you already know Gheis Mace has left the company. I'm the interim CEO until we decide who will fill his position.
  2. We've also begun taking in around 1000 refugees from Leeds who've opted to accept Cornucopia Manufacturing's offer of employment. Once they are settled in and trained CM will be able to step up its production considerably.
  3. The Corsair group known as the Black Sails have inquired about a possible deal where we'd supply a few of their bases. The contact quoted around 150,000 tons of goods per base per month.
  4. A group calling themselves the Legion of the Damned, of which seems to be a Gallic Brigand gang, has the ill conceived idea that they can bully us. They've already begun attacking our assets within Gallia.
  5. The captain of the LNS-Los.Angelas seems to have gotten funds from the Liberty government to outfit his vessel with our weaponry. I'm unsure as to why they would want this.
  6. One of our customers, the Corona Battlegroup, seem to have their own research division. I'd like to explore possibly contacting them about a possible merger with Koensayr.
We'll start with item 2. First let me explain CM's operations to you all, as I'm sure some of you aren't familiar with them. Aboard the Cornucopia we've 12 separate facilities. Each facility is composed of a factory, warehouse, medical center, housing block, and recreational center. The 12 facilities share a common trading bazaar, educational center and shuttle facility. Each factory has six production lines. We only operate three factories full time. Two of them utilize all six production lines; while the third only puts four to use. This allows us to produce our best sellers on a continual basis. These factories stay operation around the clock in order to meet customer orders. The last two lines in the third factory are re-tooled as needed to produce the vessels and equipment we don't keep in stock. You can find our product lines here.

We currently house a permanent population of 2,549 personnel (not including their families) aboard the Cornucopia. Here is a breakdown:

Quote:Three facilities.
  • 390 per factory (65 per line) (Only 260 for factory #3)
  • 200 per warehouse
  • 80 per medical center
  • 30 per recreational center
  • 8 per housing maintenance crew
+ 120 at the trade bazaar
+ 300 at the educational center
+ 135 at the shuttle facility

This equates to around 708 workers per facility and 555 support staff. Only two facilities operate at full capacity as I mentioned. The third facility's factory only employs 260 workers for its four lines. Personnel from the warehouse assist in the factory when the use of the last two production lines is required. This does have a negative effect on our efficiency.

With the influx of 1000 more workers from Leeds as agreed upon here and after testing and evaluating the new workers we're able to fill out facility #3 with another 130 personnel. This will allow that facility's factory to operate at 100%. Another 708 will bring facility #4 online. The remaining 162 are divided up between the support facility as follows: 100 to the educational center, 30 to the trade bazaar, and the remaining 32 to the shuttle facility.

We'll be housing a total of 3,549 personnel (not including their families) aboard the Cornucopia after they've been shuttled over. The breakdown will be as follows:

Quote:Four facilities.
  • 390 per factory (65 per line)
  • 200 per warehouse
  • 80 per medical center
  • 30 per recreational center
  • 8 per housing maintenance crew
+ 150 at the trade bazaar
+ 400 at the educational center
+ 167 at the shuttle facility

What I'd like to discuss is the use of the eight new production lines. I've contacted the Colonial Republic in the past offering our factories to produce their strike craft and perhaps weaponry. At the time they declined, but with their current state of affairs this might not be a bad time to revisit that offer. Does anyone have another other ideas?

Duncan looked over the data in front of him, and tried his best to follow what was being said.

Well Victor, So basically you saying that our manufacturing sector has received a large boost, and now we have more production facilities than we have stuff to produce?

He places his hands on the table in front of him

Though i am not familiar with your prior offer to the CR Victor, if you think their current situation gives us an edge to get a production deal, I say try it again.

Duncan leans back slightly, and waits for the other Directors to chime in

With his datapad still in hand, Gabriel speaks up.

While your plans for the Colonials make sense and would be good for the company I don't see them biting. I'm not entirely sure they trust us with the plans, Victor. I've heard rumors of a new fighter class in development. I think it would be a good idea to look into this a bit more. If the rumors are true then we need to get the blueprints. No doubt it'll be in high demand.

The Sails. I've seen the proposed invoice and its quite a large order. A lot larger than any contract we've had so far, but with the increase in productivity over the past few months I have no doubt we can handle it. Its also a great opportunity to further cement our good relations with the Corsairs. All we need to do now is have the accountants go over it and come up with a price. I think we should be able to get them a good deal though.

Gabriel pauses for a drink

So now the Liberty secondary fleet wants our guns too? I'll be honest, I can see no reason to sell them. We were in a bind last time.

And speaking of Liberty, Corona Battlegroup. Victor, if you think it would benefit KM then by all means go for it. Research isn't really my cup of tea so thats your baby.

Gabe chuckles and then continues

About Gheis. While I'm sure he'll do well in whatever he pursues and I honestly wish him the best he did leave us in a tight spot. I think for now we just need to think about it and not rush. Victor, you and I can handle any Supply business in the meantime.

So the legion. Seems like nothing more than your standard group of pirates to me. I had one of my assistants trying to gather some information on them. While I hate to see our boys in harms way, its really no different then what we face anywhere else. All of our pilots earned are used to the most hostile environment in Sirius. Gallia can't be much worst. Also, I hear Felicia is on top of the situation and has already doubled her assets in the region.

After Duncan and Gabriel had their say, Ibrahim closed his datapad & begins to voice his opinions.

Mr. Mace left? I was not informed of this but alas best of luck to him, it was a pleasure to work for him as well as with him when he was still in office.

On the subject of the Bretonian refugees, I have no real problems with it but I do request that they be screened properly for any seditious elements. Political refugees tends to be like that in most cases.

The Black Sails proposed a contract? Sounds good enough, this will at least help our pilots to understand the Corsairs better and vice versa not to mention prove wrong the little hogwash made by our closeted 'brethren' in the Omicrons.

Malikk clears his throat and continous on.

Other than that, I have no opinions for the rest of the item although receiving death threats from what appears to be some human-panther hybrid representing a sort of Gallic pirate group is a very new and engaging experience.

With that, Malikk chuckles & smiles.

The wonders of Gallia, I guess.

Lucius Cogito leaned back on his chair playing with titanium signet on his finger.

I think this deal with Black Sails could be a good opportunity to change some terms of our goodwill Crete food deliveries. Why don't we sign some contract with Corsairs? If we sign the contract with Sails, I think we can expect some kind of... protection. So there will be no more need for any goodwill. Just bussiness.

He leaned back forward and took a look into his notes

Now... the Koensayr.... I don't really know much about science or technology. However, I think we need some advertisement. I've heard some rumors about Corona Battlegroup trying to hire known scientist - Jack Denton. It'd be a slight move for them. Denton is widely known and recognised. We need such face too. Someone that could give interviews, who would be recognised and... popular.

He leaned back again with innocent look on his face

And about gallia pirates... I was thinking... Why don't we delay some of our supplies for Royalists and say that those pirates caused us much trouble? This way we could... motivate their police and navy to deal with those pirates. Why would we risk our security pilots' lives when we can risk lives of those of GRP and GRN?

Taking a seat on the couch in his office on Livadia, Victor opened a secure comm link the other board members. Waiting for their links to connect up and verify he began looking through reports he had received earlier that day. Status updates, supply counts, muster reports - they all seemed to endlessly pour into his office since he and his support staff had arrive in Omicron-74 to assess the situation after the Omicroners abandoned their posts without word.

Looking through reports from Livadia specifically he noticed that the shipyard had consistently been running short on supplies for many months. That was something he could easily fix. Some of the other issues would be more difficult to resolve. Then came a familiar voice, "Links established - Conference Session Active. You have the floor Mr. Cross" that of the AI that monitored and recorded all Board meetings over the past year.

"Thank you, Iona." Sitting his tablet down on the table next to him he addressed the other board members, "I've authorized the Cornucopia to begin its move to Omicron-74. It will take it a few jumps, but it should be here within the month. I'd like to request a few wings of Security Inc's finest to protect her on her way here and as continued protection once she arrives.

We're still trying to resolve all the issues that the Omicroner's exodus has caused here. Parts of Livadia, Sparta, and Corinth are still inaccessible due to Omicroner security measures." Tapping his tablet a few times, "I've sent you all some of the reports we've received. I'd like to motion that the majority of OSI's assets be moved to 74 as soon as possible."

Standing and moving so that he can see out of his office's window overlooking one of Livadia's dry docks he continued, "Mr Church, as you're already running Freeport 15, I'd suggest you have Supply Inc headquarter itself there also. Director Ruiz, I hope we can have access to all sections of Sparta before you and Security Inc arrive. Stow, Nine seems to have become the hub for those Zoners preparing to launch into the unknown regions - I think your company could do well in assisting them in both reaching Nine from where ever it is they are and perhaps in moving further into the unknowns." Returning to his seat, "I feel our presence would also serve to stabilize the political climate in the region. Iona, please place my motion up for vote."

Iona's digital avatar appears on the many displays being used to access the meeting, Iona addresses each board member individually,
"Director Ruiz, regarding the motion to move OSI's primary assets to Omicron-74, how do you vote?"
"Mr Stow, regarding the motion to move OSI's primary assets to Omicron-74, how do you vote?"
"Mr Church, regarding the motion to move OSI's primary assets to Omicron-74, how do you vote?"
"Mr Cross, regarding the motion to move OSI's primary assets to Omicron-74, how do you vote?"
"Mr Caudil;, regarding the motion to move OSI's primary assets to Omicron-74, how do you vote?"
"Mr Malikk, regarding the motion to move OSI's primary assets to Omicron-74, how do you vote?"
"Mr Cogito, regarding the motion to move OSI's primary assets to Omicron-74, how do you vote?"

James thinks about what Victor has said for a moment

"Well, I have no problem with headquartering Supply Inc. on Freeport XV, I would, however, think that an expansion of the facilities there should be undertaken before we make any major moves like that. At present the station does not have the capacity that would be required to service and supply even half of OSI's current fleet of vessels, to say nothing of supplying our various allies vessels."

James pauses and glances at a folder that he has on his desk

"I am going to make several requests for bids to restructure the station, I would like to state my support for the idea of moving all of our main assets to Omicron-74 however we may experience some difficulties with basing Supply Inc off Freeport XV until the remodel can be planned and carried out. I would like to ask Mr. Cogito if Freeport 9 could be temporarily used as a secondary base in the interim."

"In short, you have my vote as a yes"

Duncan listened intently to what was being said, while perusing the various files sent to him.

" I vote YES on the motion Cross. Good luck with the problems your facing within 74, and OTS will begin attempting to capture the oppurtunities you mentioned for Freeport 9."
