This is getting more serious. The probes you have sent are showing an increasing of the foreign DNA. That this has been done by the virus very quickly don't surprise me. It's not good to see the infection is still continuing with such a high speed. Cells are beginning to change...soon the victims won't be recognizable.

I cannot suggest any countremeasure against spreading. I hope Dr. Ferrante or someone else will be able to look at this very soon. I am sure the virus has already reached the brain with that new DNA. I cannot say what will happen but I hope you will make it through this...I will send a smaller ship to you with some helpful data about the already gained knowledge of alien organisms. I am Lt. Charles Kent, comm officer aboard [TAZ]Med.Force.One. We've just begun monitoring some of the chatter from this channel and became concerned. Our chief research scientist, Dr. Koji Tenaka, offers his assitance for this illness. If you can send him a detailed report, he will see what he can do.

As for our ship, we can offer our research facilities for use. Since much of what is here is classified and since we don't know what this illness may do, we want to be able to ensure that it won't infect the entire ship. While this virus is of concern to us, the safety of the people of this ship is foremost.

Good day Mister Kent,

I am not Commander Staite but I think it lies in the interests of all parties when we get over it very fast. I sent you the data we were able to collect till now.




Some more details about that kind of virus...like you can see the image on the top shows the artifact. That artifact set organisms in the human's body free and is quickly spreading. The virus is not 'acting' like it would want to 'capture' the body of the infected person. It want to establish an own existance, replicating their own numbers to cause a mutation of the cells. In addition to this infection the 'virus' is adding it's DNA into the already mutated. That leads to a mutation of the of the more important parts, like the brain or the heart.

Also...the with the new DNA peppered, mutated cells are replicating too and slowly begins to 'overwrite' the genetic code of the human itself. The 'virus' is spreading over the air...one of the reasons why no transport of the organisms is possible yet. The affected ship has completely been isolated from any other ship and person who/which does not belong to the Blood Dragovictims, even if their bodies are still of human nature. All we can do at the moment is to use the information that are avaible about this infection and hoping for discovering other artifacts that could clear some questions.

I sent you now all the avaible information we have, also the visualisations and now we only can rely on a possible theoretical solutions or just a delay of the infection till we know more.

We have reason to believe that there is a possibilty this virus was the downfall of the ancient Daam K'vosh Empire. Tests reveal that the virus itself is not naturally occuring, but was rather artificially engineered; we can only guess as to the purpose of the virus' development. It is possible that it was created as a sort of organic nanite, designed to help heal wounds or cure diseases present in K'vosh physiology. If this is the case, we can only assume that something, or someone, altered the organism's behavior, causing it to overtake the host body rather than repair it.

Some speculation as to whether or not this is the true source of the Nomad's origin is in question as well. The virus may have converted the host Daam K'vosh's physical body into the forms we see today, or at the very least something similar, which would support the theory that the Nomads were created by the K'vosh, but brings to light new reasons as to the downfall of their Empire and the disappearance of their species from Sirius space.

More research is underway to prove or disprove these theories, additional datafeeds will be sent when results are available.

All my life as researcher to find a cheap treatment for cancer, because not all people around Sirius can afford the treatment, but been cheap means not profitable, and because of that my research has canceled even when i achived a prototype pharmaceutical. The way this works is very simple, it attacks and destroy cells that has not a valid human DNA, is like removing those cell from the organism by a surgical way. But as far i can see .. we may have a problem here. If that virus mutated the brain cells ... by drug will kill it and the brain cell can not be regenerated. It means that the host might die or suffer serious brain damage.

I'm now at Corfu, supervise the final construction of a Corvo class destroyer, that a the leader of a Zoner community is given me, so i can't help you much more for now but the ship is almost ready, and i can offer all my help if you want it. All my research will be to continue my work on the fight against cancer, and also to find a way to reverse the infection on humans that we call then the Wild.

It is good to hear more people want to assist us in this case. Every help is welcome and we need every hand we can get. But now...to the topic...
I appreciate your willingness to investigate this virus...but the virus organisms are mutating human cells to create their own kind of existance. Also the brain cells. Because we have information about the virus it could have meant the end of the Daam K'Vosh empire it is possible that the neural energy that is in infected brain, could be absorbed and transformed into telepathic working networks or even beings.

Since we know the K'Vosh are receptive to this telepathy, the chance is not equal zero to a complete restructuring of the human body. If it was used for healing injured...well....K'Vosh's very fast then it would, reversed, mean the same effect in the same time. Human cells are transforming into alien cells. If we cannot prevent the virus from doing so we will maybe have a new species soon.

Several years ago, Order archaeologists unearthed half of a stone tablet on Planet Nauru believed to be of K'vosh origin. The writing on the tablet was identified as K'vosh lettering, but was in an as of yet unencountered dialect - or perhaps intentionally encoded. Up until recently, the second half of the tablet was never found.

Yesterday, the tablet's missing half was discovered by members of the Cambridge Research Institute investigating alien ruins on Planet Gaia. Order contacts within the institute sent images of the tablet to Mora Station; as of yet the Institute itself has no idea what it has found.

Unfortunately, deciphering the tablet is a slow process, but what little has been translated seems to indicate an artificially engineered substance with similar behavior to this virus encountered by the Hatsuzakura's crew. We will provide further information once the tablet has been fully translated.
