If the responses in my other thread have taught me anything, it's that Mother Nature wants to kill us all. Whether its being rent limb from limb, dissolved by necrotic venom, or simply frightened to death, she wants us all gone.

Crow once tried to dive bomb me, flew low and tried to peck me with its beak or scratch with talons. My fault for going too close to an injured bird, probably a member of its immediate family.

My folks were on a picnic, with my younger bro and his family the other day.

There were a number of extremely cheeky magpies that got themselves a good feed by swooping down and taking meat of various sorts while people weren't watching.

One of the 'victims' was one of my nieces who was actually holding the and the bird had TWO goes before it got what it was after.

Most terrifying animal encounter would have been about 20 years ago. Driving home from a visit with relatives on a rural 4 lane highway. Wife got affectionate to the point that her head was in my lap while I was driving (Lewinsky FTW!) and we hit a deer. I was SO happy that we didn't a "World according to Garp" moment...

Cant honestly say I've ever had one. The closest would be when I was out camping and had a black bear nudging around my tent. I've handled everything from wolves to mountain lions to tigers. In general, it's usually the human's fault if something bad happens.

Mother nature isnt out to kill us all, she's out to test whether or not we're worthy to remain alive =p

I saw a bear once. The following occured:

1 - I shat myself (while running)
2 - I ran so fast I think I'd beat Bolt on a 100m dash.
3 - Locked myself in a house in the woods and got up into the attic.
4 - Pulled up the ladder.
5 - Didn't even breathe for 2 hours.

Bro was attacked by a tiger on a different occasion. True story.

Yea, not really a creepy one, but i guess the most 'terrifying' encounter was some time ago.

I were driving a car in the morning-hours and there was so much fog that you could not even see half the way to the next reflector post ( there are 50 metres between those posts).
I were driving really, really slowly when i suddenly reaslised several deers next to the street directly next to me.
They were standing still and i were driving slowly, nevertheless the sudden appearance of them shocked me, since i feared they could run into my car.

Regards,
Talesin

Only animal I have ever been scared of is my wife, don't go near here when she is cornered.

Went for a walk a few years ago with parents my sister while we were on a holiday. Anyway it was in the late afternoon and all the wildlife was coming out, kangaroos, wombats, possums and emus.
Anyway we walked past a few emus and one had caught its eye on my belt buckle (the low sun must of reflected the light off it towards this bird) that I was wearing.
At first I didn't notice it but had come straight up along side me and started to move its head towards my buckle.
My sister screamed and I jumped as I saw this darn bird started to peck the living day lights out of me. I basically just reacted and kicked this emu away and ran for it.
Nasty thing ripped my jeans and put a nice little gash in my thigh. Thank god it didn't do anything worse...

Another encounter I had was a kookaburra stole a full sandwich out of my hands as I was about to bite.
