Absolutely bro! Absolutely, I made a thread on /v/ recently about it, and for once 4chan agreed on something. The game was brilliant, perhaps a bit too out of box, and sadly released in the same year when every herp-derping pseudo gamer was MW-fareing...Sad really sad that Dice would rather try to beat the aforementioned title than release a sequel or a similarly groundbreaking title. Your poo and my poo smell the same and look the same (in most cases) but if 40% of the worlds 12 year olds overglorify your poo it certainly becomes important and my poo is rendered obsolete and named a four letter word starting with s. Bad metaphor, true story

I'm talking about official critics, not user reviews. The game was bashed by the officials, that's why many people didn't buy it.

Also, I would like to add that I don't think that Mirror's Edge will get old(visually) at least not in the next 10-15 years no matter how much the graphics evolve. This is simply because Mirror's Edge had an amazing graphical and art presentation. It builds a world so minimalistic that it makes texture and model quality utterly meaningless, a world in which everything is build upon the contrast and shapes not details.
Once again allow me to present Crackpunch, our gorgeous Waratah of video games.
Though, this delicious game got 8,5-9,0 rating in most of the russian gaming magazines (aha, different critics, different opinions); gamers mostly gave it over 9.0 for the unique nature which totally compensate what is considered normal in absolute majority of the games and suddenly appears to be an original sin for Mirror's Edge.
Mirrors Edge was a great game for quick puzzles. If you were fast enough, you could plot out a pathing as you executed it, and that was what played out the most fun for me. The last boss was a bit "...that's it?" for me, takes all of five seconds to beat the guy.
A million dollars isn't cool. You know what is cool? A basilisk.

Do not compare me to Waratah. Ever. You have no idea what my tastes are so you can stop with the oh so superior act.
I have an opinion that differs to yours. Deal with it.
Bought it for a friend recently and she was like "um...what's that then? I haven't heard of it" a few hours later she managed to play the first 2 levels and came back saying "this game is amazing!! it's just simply amazing!!" and managed to take her time to play it because she didnt play anything else for 3 days. she loves it and so do I.
Everything about it just made me fall in love with it:D
