There's enough rumors, even from DICE creative developer himself, that there's plans for a second one. I'm sure they'll announce it soon enough, now that they're done with Battlefield 3.

The Rumours are really old. Not just a few Months, more like two Years. There has been nothing else so far. Along with EA being the usual Ass, I really don't know if there is a second Game coming someday.
About the Combat, I really enjoyed it, especially at the End, when there are lot of Soldiers and you gotta be really fast to actually survive.

The latest interview with the lead designer was 1 month ago >_> that's when he said that when they're done with BF3, they might use Frostbite 2 for the upcoming ideas regarding ME2, which could be one of their new projects.

Mirror's edge is absolutely mindblowing. Now that I have a new PC I need to DL it and set everything on max, stare in awe and finish it (yeah I haven't beat the whole game - for some reason - probably even on minimal too low FPS).
Mirror's E is unique, something AC got a bit close too.
