While talking with the Golanski Sombrero noticed a shape in his canthus. He looks into the direction where he noticed it and see Doctor Holliday sitting at a table with a woman at his side.
"Must be someone who is close to him...", he thought.
He has heard a lot about his work and how successful it mostly was. Sombrero takes a bottle of wine, nodding at the Admiral as he walks towards the couple. He just assumes randomly the woman sitting there must be his wife. How the Doctor looks at her showed him their 'connection'.
"Doctor Holliday...Miss Holliday, I am Carlo Sombrero, captain of the Eclipse of the Order. It's a pleasure to meet you."
He places the bottle on the table. It showes a label of the best of gallic wine.
Placing a foot out of his Nephthys which carried a new insignia placed over top of the Black Squadron one. Clean white shoes leading up the rest of his attire. A white tuxedo, moving over stiffly such formal clothing rather lost on him as he held his arm out to his date for this evening. He led the woman inside the castle. He lead her right into the hall where every one was, already seeing a mess of people around his eyes would glance over to Doc and his wife, wanting to urgently talk to them but it could wait.
"So what do you think?"
Dangenspoke to her as his eyes saw Jeremy in the corner of his eye, his attention fully focusing on the woman with amber colored eyes
Suddenly the butler Hans returned from the kitchen and with him were six other persons who were carrying plates with drinks and snacks. They placed the snacks on the table and handed the drinks to the various guests.
When they were done the six stood in line while Hans stepped in front of them and simply said:
"Enjoy!"
And then the seven (including Hans) marched out again.
The Major turned slightly red as "Friedrich" explained that he was not the Colonel, but the Major soon regained his composure and said...
"Err, oh sorry about that... Well I'd love a small glass of Vodka is its possible. *Smiles*
Beckz then turned towards the real Colonel, as Friedrich went to fetch his drink...
On his way to the Colonel he noticed his commanding officer, Colonel Daniels... Beckz took a detour and headed towards Daniels... Beckz wanted to shake his hand but saw that both Daniels' hands were occupied, one with a cigar, very typical of the Colonel and the other with some sort of drink... Daniels did so enjoy his... poisons...
"Ah Colonel Daniels, good to see you sir" *Salutes*
After hang received a salute his the cigar bearing hand, Beckz returned on his way to Ravenov... He crossed a room filled with many faces both old and new... As he passed the Admiral he saluted once more and said...
"We have meet many times in space but its an honor to finally meet you face to face sir."
Ravenov was standing right there and after greeting the Admiral, Beckz turned to the host and greeted him with much respect...
"Colonel you have a truly magnificent jewel of a home her and I am extremely grateful to have been giving to opportunity to attend your feast. Here is a small token to say thank you" *Hands the Colonel the Gallic wine*
Beckz then turns to Hunter who had just greeted him...
"Likewise Mr Hunter and thank you"
Suddenly Friedrich returned with the Major's drink...
"Ah thank you Friedrich"
Beckz then took a sip and walked around the room seeing who he could meet...
Santiago navigated through the party guests like a cloaked ship in an asteroid field; she was never the social kind of person, expecially since her early life and education took place in the underground levels of Crete City. Ever since she became a ship captain, she did her best to improve her manners and acquire a better image, but deep inside, she would always remain the same person, the same young girl burning with fury that led the Jade Falcons gang on a raid to a food storehouse, to steal enough provision for the next winter. Looking around herself, gazing at the luxurious estate, the expensive furniture, the people in elegant dresses, she thought once again, as she did many times in the last year, that this was not her place.
She took a deep breath and shook her head to wipe away the gloomy thoughts, and noticed the newly appointed major Dan Beckz looking for familiar faces; a small grin appeared on her lips as she carefully walked around him and sneaked on him from behind.
Santiago:*with her best "You're in big trouble, recruit!" tone* Major Beckz! What are you doing? *she stops and prepares to admire his reaction*
It was at that very moment that Beckz' heart stopped, as a cold chill overcome his body, as well as nearly choking to death on his vodka... it was her...
The Major quickly recovered from his choking and turned around to face the dragon lady...
"Err... ah hem... Lieutenant Colonel Santiago *Salutes*
"Um, I'm having a glass of vodka ma'am is something wrong? Is there something I can do for you?"
The Major then reluctantly waited for his scolding session....
The woman that arrived with Dangen was no less than Kate Miller, the Order renegade agent, known to be working with the Keepers. Her presence to this party was completely paradoxal, but especially the Hunter family would feel unpleased.
She turned to Christopher, that asked her what she thought so far.
"Sincerely ? I think this is going to be really fun, I can't wait to see Jeremy Hunter and the little worms graviting around him, the expression on their faces once they'll see me, and they know they absolutely can't do anything. This party will, for sure, provide me plenty of entertainment opportunities.
And maybe I'll find someone to spend the night with, who knows."
She finished on a smile, and looked at her black dress for a second before following Christopher to where he went. No doubt with this dress and her purple hair and eyes, some were going to wonder who the hell she is.
He shrugged and nodded over towards where the hunters were situated at least with a faint smirk on his face, how he got such odd pleasures from doing such insults to his friends or even old friends faces often left him wondering but this time he didn't so much.
"Shell we go say hello to the Hunters? and you know being my date here, I was hoping you'd of been spending the night with me."
He had already started to lead her towards the Hunters and from what he had heard, this was going to be one hell of a night though he vowed he was going to see Doc later on and his wife maybe take Kate to meet them even if they probably had in the past, it'd pay for her to know him if she didn't already.
Chris could feel the cynism in her tone. She considered Jeremy Hunter and his crew as inefficent, still "blind" from her point of view, refuting the reasons that pushed her to go rogue, and using their time for talking rather than acting.
It was the very same reasons that pushed her beyond the limits of humanity more than once.
