The King has no real say over most of our actions, which makes us look like a criminal organization like you say. This may or may not be correct. We Corse do what we have to do to live our lives. This meeting is to help my family for ourselves dear. Nothing about it is for the Crown.

I am curious, Madomoiselle Venturi, you wish to chat about our ways and our Freeports. I see a lot of red flags on that. I've had mixed encounters with the families of the Union Corse. One old family welcomed me while others have taken bounties upon us set by the Royal Family. Just associating with the Royals alone makes me not trust your intent but now I can't help but think that you are spying, trying to dig up information on us.

Why TAZ? Why not the OSI or the Omicroners? They are as Zoner as we are. How do I know that you won't attempt to take the life of one of my people as other families of the Corse have? How do I know that your intentions are honorable?

Mnemosym, until Madamoiselle Venturi can give me some guarantees and earn my trust, I must disallow this meeting between you and her. In fact, until I can guarantee the safety of my people, I must disallow any meeting between her and any one of my people.

I'll say it now that I am acting on my family alone. Though I may deal with the Royal Family I do not act for them nor wish harm on your men and women. We are not as cruel as them.
