No. You don't just "steal" stuff from a base or a "friendly" Order agent for that case, who happens to think it might had been a good idea to hand out Order tech (or whatever factions tech for that matter) to you because "you know him".

*Hey, look at this shiny Abrams tank, I'm going to steal it and roam around the streets of xyz-town and nobody will take any actions on me because I'll fight for the greater good of nation abc*

No.
Get used to play with the toys you're able to play with.
Oh, we're sorry you don't like the way things are done here. Please take a number and take a seat, the next available employee of our complaints office will happily ignore your complaint.

At first. I do not see how it could be necessary even in the slightest way to be so rude to a newcomer. Have a look on how you are acting here. It's obviously that only newcomers don't know how to give adequate advices. Therefore you can call yourself a newbie who didn't learn much about how to communicate effeciently yet. Sad...because we are here to have fun, not no to shout somebody because you are getting sick of asking.

And you still won't get it.

And hey....that fits more to you than to the newcomer here since you are a bit longer at the server. Learn about communication, then everything should be fine. And the thinking of the OP is not illogical. Just a bit 'untouched' by other's opinions.

Everyone thought this way when she/he joined the first time. So no need for your complaining about

@astgase Like you can see there are a lot of possibilities how to act here on this server. But, unfortunately or not, we all have to stick to the tech chart. It's a bit OORP if you are going to just buy the guns from a base and then say I stole them. Keep in mind that you can be sanctioned for that. But if your RP is good and you are up to do exactly that, you can ask the faction leaders of the several official faction if there could be some kind of event to 'fight' about the tech you wanna have. Of course this is quite difficult but if you suceed you can be proud of yourself.

Anyway...so far. If you wanna use equipment that does not really fit to ID and ship or so then it have to be cleared up, like mentioned before, with the official faction leaders or the Admins. There are much ways to get to your destination. You only have to find them instead of trying to walk on the easiest way.

+1 interwebs to Lennox

@OP

The rules are the rules. Maybe they'll get changed someday on this issue (I hope) but until then you can always try role playing with the faction who's equipment you want. If the cell is red you'll likely get swatted down, but that doesn't mean you can't role play out the effort. *shrug* If you don't get the actual tech you want, take something else and then go around saying you shot down a corsair or an outcast or something and looted it from his cold dead fingers.

Now imagine everyone playing the game on this server the way he wants it without restricting himself.

Thank you all for the feedback. It's good to see that some parts of the community took their time to fully read and understand my concerns, even if the question has been asked like 100 times already. I see that my 'ideas' might cause some new problems and I dont feel like violating the rules. Because of that I will just stick to my Enterprise and continue my play as Trader.
As you can guess that is not really satisfying for me but I wont get another (prop worse) ship just because I get forced to. When I see a member of the Order I will forward him to this topic or ask him if there was any chance, which I doubt. The time I started this topic, there was no member online.

I got a total different question... Which are 'the best' or 'most effective' ships in the price range of 30-50 millions and 100-220 millions? As I cant test them and the Wiki doesnt hold that much player feedback...
Faction does not matter. It's more for me to get an overview.

IC Stork (unaffiliated) is the ultimate cash cow, since there are many routes to choose from.

If you want less risk in being shot down, you can go for Bowex Shetland (high hull) and trade with Bretonia and Liberty.

Or, join IC| !

Ah. Looks like I didnt point out my question clear enough.
I got some kind of transporter already. My Enterprise can hold 4300 cargo which is quite enough for all my needs. Now I'm looking for a really powerfull ship to fight with. Like a Gunboat, Gunship or one of the Capital Ships.

30-50 mil Bombers Because It takes ~30-40 mil to completely set up a bomber including everything.
100-220 mil - Depends on your choice either a Gunboat with good armor or Cruiser with weak armor... your choice

Out of curiosity, what ID are you using with the Enterprise liner?

As for cash and combat: For 30-35 million you can get an unarmoured Gunboat... that won't help you.
Instead, you can kit out any kind of fighter and have cash left to spare, or a fully equipped bomber with not much cash to spare.

Fighters are effective against other fighters, bombers, and freighters. They struggle against gunboats and larger capital ships. They are comfortably able to destroy a transport, even an armoured one, given enough time.

Bombers are very effective against transports, and in numbers, are dangerous to capital ships. Their effectiveness against fighters and gunboats depends on the skill of the pilot - in particular there are certain technques required to duel a fighter.

in the 100 to 220 million range:
You can get a well-armoured Gunboat (Cap 4 to Cap 6) in that price range; or a Cruiser with Armor up to Cap 4 or Cap 5.

Gunboats are effective against Transports and fighters, and usually bombers too. Their effectiveness against other Gunboats depends on their armament. They suffer against Cruisers and Battleships since they are significantly larger than a fighters and bombers, yet struggle to damage them on their own.

Each Cruiser has its own strengths and weaknesses. They are effective against Gunboats and hideously effective against Transports - note, however, that in nearly all circumstances a Cruiser is not allowed to attack a Transport. See the Server Rules. If you manage to hit a fighter or bomber, you will likely cause some pain.

You need to have a role in mind when equipping your cruiser - in most cases, it will be, "how can I best combat other capital ships?" The Liberty Siege Cruiser, for example, has a massive forward cannon which is ponderous to aim but very effective against large, slow battleships. In comparison, the Rheinland Cruiser is a heavy cruiser, and excels at targeting enemy cruisers. Note that Cruisers have some of the longest-ranged weapons in Discovery - the Cruiser missile has a whopping 5.5k range. Therefore, a pair of Pulse turrets and a pair of Missile turrets make a good bombardment strategy before you close in for the kill wither Cerberus or Primary turrets.

/end rambling

There was a sig here, once.

Noone restricts you to play the game in a way you want. You can fly your Order GB with any ID you want in Singleplayer and possibly on other servers as well. However, if you want to continue playing on this server, you have to abide by the rules that include conforming the tech chart precisely.
