Wow... thank you for that long reply Echo! I did not expect that someone would do something like this.
My enterprise liner is member of the Orbital Spa and Cruise and is wearing the IFF / ID.:)
I'm pretty sure I want a gunboat (Hathor?) and then equip / evolve it over time... No need to buy it and instantly have the best equipment. Beside that I'm still undecided about the faction / side to choose. The Order offers all the ships I like but I just dont like them;)I'd rather play as Zoner then but still with a little chance to get the permission for a Hathor...
Code:
6.7 Attacking freighters, transports, liners or demanding cargo from the same is not allowed for cruisers and battleships.
AI would also be interesting (RP wise) but they only got the AI Cruiser of which I have little to no informations regarding gameplay. I want a ship which is able to handle the complete range of smaller ships. Fighters, Bombers and even other Gunboats. Which Gunboats / Gunships and which Cuisers shall I look at? One time considering I play Zoner and one time without ANY faction in mind.
Thank you alot. I just read the Wiki over and over again but I somehow cant really make up my mind.
The Order is perfectly willing to give a Hathor to a Zoner actually. You just need a good reason. There actually was an,indie researcher in a Hathor before, so allsgood.

Used to be epic back in '06 , I sometimes miss it...
Memories_[color=#FFFFFF]Memories
Edit: But the restriction is for the best i suppose. Even though some pirate factions have no idea how to RP pirate- As for the Military Factions is completely understandable they wont give a tank to the first dude that shows up with a big pocket.
I'll speak to this, even though I came late to the party.
The Tech Chart is an attempt to avoid people running around building unrealistic uber ships. If you consider that this is a Role playing server, that means that each of us must fall within the restrictions that would normally make sense in this RP environment. RP is first and formost here. To that end the chart is a tool to help with keeping it 'real'. If you are curious about ships, play in SP mode, which will allow you to experiment with various ships and equipment, without such restrictions.
That said, there is always the chance to work up a storyline, requests to factions, etc. If it isn't too far out...
i.e. an Outcast Ship sporting Corsair weapons simply wouldn't do... it wouldn't happen in any universe. I hope that helps you. And your english is quite good. I had little difficulty understanding you.
as for your request to play the way you wish to play... I respect that. However, please understand that this is the way WE WANT TO PLAY. Please respect that.
Thank you for your post. Many people have commented and I thank their imput as well.

Thank you for the writing into my topic.
From when I posted the first messages on the foum and entered the game the first time there were always alot of friendly people helping me out. First I was given a short introduction, money and then I was invited to my first pirating and trading. It was fun from the very first minute. I highly respect what ALL OF YOU have built here and I wont ever even try to ruin the game experience for anyone. As I said before I will follow the rules, I do RP and I love this game. It was just a 'question' I had in mind and I'm glad to be taught (mostly) the friendly way.;)
Even when it might have been a typical newcomer question... thank you all for that warm welcome. I just didnt think about what all that means and how all that relationships 'work'. You have opened my eyes and I've been studying the Wiki the last days, to work on my own small RP background.:)

Atta'boy! /gives a hearty slap on the back
See? This is where the fun is at. Finding out how everything works and finding your place in all of it.
<strike>P.S. If you are looking for more freedom in your pursuits, you might look into being an independent Junker (the garbage-man mafia). They can dabble in the illegal side of things as long as they aren't caught, and they're more of a trading/mining faction than a PVP one. Just be sure you really research them and their relationships first, as you could easily screw up the RP of the official Junker congress if you get caught doing something illegal or if you shoot the wrong guy.</strike>
EDIT: Actually, if you are shaky on the RP side of things, it might be better if you don't choose a faction with so delicate an RP relationship...

Thank you for being so understanding and open minded. I think I can safely say that there are many here on the DiscoGC server who will be more than happy to help you in developing your character(s). For my part, if you need anything, please... give me a hollar. Always happy to help.
