Another good movie I'd suggest would be The Taste of Tea. Now, I'm warning you, we're getting deep into wierd territory with this one. Its about three years old, and by a Japanese director. It's all in japanese, so be prepared for subtitles. The movie follows a single family thought their increasingly wierd ass lives. Over all, the movie is very slow paced, and the pacing is extremely strange. This is an intentional decision by the director, and the whole film is a fairly abstract piece. Its... hard to explain. Consider the whole movie "an experiment in the use of time and sound." If you're a patient viewer, and open to alot of diffrent types of films, I'd highly suggest watching it, because it is hilarious, even if just because of how wierd it is. The slow paced, seemingly bland events in the movie are just used to lower the viewer's guard, and then, when you think it's just a simple movie about family life, it hits you with somthing crazy, like a 50 ft tall little girl, or a walking dead yakuza with a piece of **** on his head. The movie is over 2 hours long, so don't watch it expecting fast paced action, and don't watch it if you arn't open to watching films who's directors like to take risks.
I'm having a hard time explaining this movie, so here's a little clip from it.
