Well, the first two days I was playing Skyrim were probably the best, I was playing in ecstasy, I fell in love with the game immediately...But now, I somehow screwed up the fun for me, and I'm struggling to get it back. My character didn't develop like I'd like it to, I was going for a stealthy archer assassin with daggers and some magic, which exactly leads me to my problem, I wanted to do everything with it, which doesn't work.

Now I'm struggling with the idea to just make a new character and dump my ~20 hours of gameplay and the character along with it, which sorta breaks my heart.

I'd just like to have fun with this game again, because it's obviously amazing. I just don't know what to do anymore...

When I make a new character, I already struggle with the choice of gender. I think to myself "Hm, I like roleplaying a female char" but on the other hand I'd like a male character, too, but I dislike the idea of having a muscled brute on my screen all day, you know where I'm getting at. Second: What kind of character is it going to be ? This plus all kinds of stuff I need to think about instead of enjoying the game...

Someone please help me.:(

Make an Orc Mage. For the lulz.

EDIT: Dammit, this isn't Flood...

Generally, you shouldn't try to create a character archetype on your first playthrough. Like you said, you'll want to do everything and explore everywhere. First-Paythrough-Man is a soup character. He does what you need him to, without any restrictions being applied.

Play through the game, then think about your character's development later. Try going for a stereotype smasher - Orc mage, Bosmer barbarian, Altmer thief. That sort of thing/

First Game, be whatever you want. Second Game, be the Opposite.

That's what I tried, failed horribly obviously. All was good until yesterday, for some reason.

From what I understood, you're going to dump a character due to screwed up build or RP went wrong?

PS: I've gotta try it out too it seems, never played elder scroll game

Here's my story young one. After i've spended more than 2 hours in the character make up screen i've decided that i should go as a female Breton Mage because uh you know my opinion females suit more for this role than beeing a barbaric Xena, anyway after i've travelled through the escape tunnel i've decided to go fully destruction mode but i've also found out that restoration got some nice perks which actualy adds faster mana restore so i've went restoration and destruction. I've actualy wanted to put heavy armor but i've said "no" because it wouldn't roll for a female. As i've grown up in levels i've started to use sneak and went to the guild mage in Winter Hold and i've became after a small short pre-quests a Ladie Arch ***** Mage. At this i've already slained 4 dragons and 1 bone dragon so i've decided to go lulz around and one shot macro everyone with my double fireballs but i've happend to see in my inventory to have a two handed weapon for some nice kill cams.

Hope you enjoyed my lulz story.
My opinion... never go on all specs focus only on one. Warrior Mage Thief and know what you will be doing in the future.

Good luck
