Reserved Name when it was announced :)

To build up some anticipation we should so do some MW4:Mercs sessions since its free.

Did anyone post here? I've been so busy with work and I just got sick of checking mektek... I finally gave up then BAM! Huge news and I never heard.

Damn, I better build a new PC for next year.... I wonder what the spec requirements will be.

Let's play! I'm libertyshadow on skype! (not now though, work in the morning)

Virus, Cannon myself and a few others made pretty heavy use of MW4 for a while. I've been a fan since MW2 first came out.

MW4 is fun on a smaller scale against friends. It -can- be fun with certain groups on the larger servers, but you'll find most matches quickly dissolve into absurdly balanced matches of almost hilariously stupid jumping assault mechs bunny hopping from behind buildings to snipe at one another with massive alpha strike setups or lumbering around city arenas with full inferno rocket setups looking for, again, massive alpha strike setups.

That being said, I'm cautiously enthused about MWO.

Twilight of the Clans was fantastic.

The Blood of Kerensky and Saga of the Grey Death Legion trilogies both shouldn't be missed, and the latter was pretty much the first Battletech novels.

Also, whatever you do, skip over Far Country.

Jump sniping...

ALL OF MY HATE.

It'll be like being submerged in the battletech universe, as the lostech is introduced piece by piece and then finally the clans arrive.

By 3048, the lostech is mostly already gone, thanks to Comstar's little upgrade program, to secretly get the Successor States ready for the Clan Invasion.
However, that still represents a VERY small portion of standing House Militaries.

So, it should "mostly" be the standard 3rd SW gear. Until the clans show up.

Then thats when it gets really fun.

*secretly hopes this game will have TR3025 Warhammer*

But, the Rasalhague Republic is around in this time [Image: emoticon-00178-rock.gif]

It breaks one of the core rules of the Battletech universe.

No aliens.
It also takes place completely outside the Inner Sphere, the Clan Homeworlds, the Periphery, and the whole region of space all together.
It might as well not be set in the Battletech universe.

MWO is running CryEngine 3
No one knows how scale-able it will be though yet.
