Kell followed Eriksson into the office "So fill me in" he stated

Eriksson took a cigar off his desk and lighted it. He approached the window and started looking into the mountain side. "Well, after you left the scene, Wedjat died off, as you might have heard. Any Nomad research that involved us talking to them and getting to the bottom of this war was stopped and they just started developing new ways to kill them. The admiralty doesn't know what it wants...You could say that the Order is in it's midlife crisis. But that's not for you to worry." Eriksson turned to Kell and said."That's for me to worry about."

Kell reclined in a chair facing Eriksson, sipping his scotch "So what you're telling me is that after my retirement, any alternatives to continued war stopped being pursued? That everything the Wedjat stood for has vanished?" Kell finished

"Precisely, what I'm saying. However, there is one faction that is trying to do it. But they aren't really Order, not anymore at least.Yup, Cerberus is trying, but without help...I don't know how much longer they can last. But, thank God some things never change and the Zoners never cease to amaze me. They, on the other hand continue to research into the matter. If anyone was to try starting that chapter up again, it's the Zoners where you would probably start." Said the Colonel.

Kell arched an eyebrow at the mention of a "not really order" group "What do you mean by 'not order anymore', who are these people and why the zoners?" Kell finished

"Well the Zoners always had a knack for science. I don't see why it's so surprising to you. But anyway, the group I aforementioned go by the name of Cerberus. My son is a Lieutenant there. He keeps me posted with whatever is happening. Not to mention that its leader, Colonel Joe Daniels, is a good friend of mine as well."

Kell scratched his chin thoughtfully "So what you're saying is a composite group? And I have heard of Cerberus, well at least the incarnation under Aubrey" Kell paused before continuing, downing the last of his scotch "But that still leaves a nagging question, why am I needed, I retired with good reason from the Wedjat, and from what I understand, the Order as a whole now fulfills our old mission" Kell finished, looking intently at the Colonel

Eriksson chuckled. "My old friend...if only that were true. Truth is Wedjat got divided. Half of the people went into Cerberus the rest stayed in the Order. And I never said I needed you, I just wanted to let you know what has been happening since you retired that's all."
